When a vampire approaches one of the wolves of Malraux or The Beast, they feel a natural instinct of fight or flight.

For one Caroline Forbes, she felt an undeniable prickling of her skin, she felt itches along her gums and her eyes let the face of a monster come through as she passed through thick trees as the feeling grew longer.

They beat her down, a voice, not unlike her own told her to fight and for a moment she forgot all about Bonnie when she heard the growls and the flashes of amber orbs.

"You shouldn't be here," a female voice with venom rushed out when she stood out with a white dress shirt and designer slacks but it was the brown hair and her brown eyes that stood out for a second before an amber hue caused Caroline to rush back in front of Bonnie.

"Don't-" Caroline tried to use her words and keep an eye on Bonnie if it weren't for the rush of laughter that echoed throughout the clearing.

"Our little witch is fine, darling. You? We don't deal with vampires, why have you brought one of them here, Miss Bennet?" There, with all the courtesy like Bonnie was a queen, this woman bowed her head to her like it was a sign of respect.

"She's my friend, Caroline. I need to speak to Sebastien! He did something that needs to be answered!" Bonnie let a rush of power flow through her words and if the wolves felt it, they showed no outer signs besides amused smiles.

Muttering words, harsher growls, and the gathering of wind at her feet, Caroline knew it was stupid to run. It was like she was completely out of her body, like the vampire side of her had completely taken over, trying to speed away with Bonnie in tow before she ran straight into what felt like a wall.

"Well, mon cherie, what do we have here?" Caroline's eyes narrowed but she looked up into the dark eyes of this man when everyone seemed to defer to him instead of the other wolf who had clearly given this man the respect he deserved.

"Giver, a vampire has come onto our land, you know what our rules say." Another, a younger wolf seemed to speak out of turn by anything when he was immediately shushed by a snapped neck.

"Children, they never learn their manners it seems. Bonnie, if you would, follow me." He didn't give Caroline another look, instead amused but stopped for a moment looking up at the sky for a second before tensing as did another woman at his side, suddenly appearing like a shadow

"Your friend may come in, Bonnie." Caroline didn't know how to explain the feeling that fell over then, like a single word of his had allowed her some sense of calm and the rush of her vampiric nature had quickly subsided like a crash from a high when her body fell against Bonnie's.

Much to the amusement of the wolves around Caroline.

"That's new, should I assume she's a young vampire?" Sebastien's eyes raked over Caroline like she was something to be interested in, like art.

His words though directed to Bonnie, his eyes hadn't left Caroline who had quickly felt a strange sense of wonder as Bonnie wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Yes. Now, can we talk with my friend having some safety from your wolves here?" Bonnie glared at the elder wolf who continued to have a lupine smirk before waving her forward and soon, the parties concerned found themselves in the dining hall of the Malraux manor.

Ornate, flashy with all the prestige and pristine of an aristocrat, the Malraux had paintings of wars and even the occasional church throughout the hall with natural light of candles shining throughout the shadowy hall as Bonnie and Caroline could not help but gulp at the sight.
