Thank god for awkward people. On the short walk back home Dan didn't say a word. I was glad he didn't since I would have nothing to say to him. Even I didn't know why I did what I did. But I couldn't stand the silence, "Dan, I.. I'm sorry." Was i? Was I really? I had actually greatly enjoyed the kissing part. " Hey," he interrupted, stoping in front if me, I hadn't noticed but we were already in front of the apartment, " it's okay. I know what that was. I saw how he was looking at you. Im not as dumb as i play out to be. Its okay." What was he okay with? Me playing with his feelings? Me using him to shoo away what i has thought was unwanted attention?
He leaned down slowly, and I didn't step away when he kissed me softly, then turned around and began walking away. " Dan?" He turned around, "yeah?" "Uh you'the staying in my apartment." I explained trying not to laugh. "Oh, that's right." He said walking back to meet me with an embarrassed grin.
I didn't know where I stood with Dan, or even what I felt for Harry. But for at least that moment, my life seemed at peace.
