Chapter 1 first stunt and elimination

The nine couples are walking to their first stunt holding their partner's hand. They see Emily and they are ready to put their relationship to the test for one million dollars. 

"Welcome aboard everyone. You nine couples are here to see what you are made of to win one million dollars. You will be competing in seventeen stunts. Stunts that will not only test you physically but mentally." said Emily.

Emily was happy to see all nine couples and got them ready for the adventure. The nine couples saw three dune buggies racing down the sand.

"Here is your first stunt, the men will be bound by their ankles on the back of those dune buggies and dragged on their back while the dune buggies race down the track. Because this is couples fear factor, the men will not be doing this alone. Each man will be holding onto a rope and your partner will be holding onto the other end and you will both be dragged together. Three couples will go at the same time and after all the couples have gone, the couple that lets go in the shortest distance from the finish line will be eliminated, right here right now." said Emily.

The couples were shocked that one couple was going home and were ready to do the stunt

"We have randomly selected today's order and the first battle will be Jon W. & Rebecca, Alex & Jenni and Adam & Alicia. The three couples that I called, come with me" said Emily.

Emily grabbed the first three couples and separated them to talk to each couple before the stunt.

"Alright Jon W. & Rebecca, you guys are first. What do you think of the other couples that are competing as well?" asked Emily.

"I think Lesley and Derek will be good competition, but everyone will want this win like we do," said Rebecca.

I think Adriaan and Janet are going to be hard to beat but I think we are ready to win." said Jon W.

Alright, both of you good luck and hang on tight" said Emily.

Thanks" said Jon W. & Rebecca, shaking Emily's hand.

"Alright, Alex & Jenni, are you guys happy that you guys are going first?" asked Emily.

"We are happy to go first because we will get nervous seeing other people go before us." said Jenni.

"I hope that we do well and make it to the end." said Alex.

"You guys know what you have to do. Good Luck!" said Emily.

"We got it." said Alex & Jenni.

"Adam & Alicia, how are you guys feeling about this stunt?" asked Emily.

"I feel good because we are both really strong in terms of upper-body strength." said Alicia.

"I am only afraid of something happening to my wife throughout the competition." said Adam.

"Alright, you guys know that one couple is going home, don't let it be you." said Emily.

"We got it." said Adam.

As Emily left, each couple put on pants and running shoes, the safety people gave each person a chest pad, a long-sleeved shirt, a helmet and a pair of goggles for each of them to wear. Adam and Alicia were wearing red shirts, Alex & Jenni were wearing black shirts and Jon W. & Rebecca were wearing yellow shirts. The guy got behind each dune buggy, laid down on their back and got ready to compete. The experts attached Jon W. to the yellow dune buggy, Alex to the black and Adam to the Red. the experts handed each guy a rope and asked the women to lie down on their stomachs, and they grabbed onto the other end of the rope to start the event. The experts let Emily know they are ready to start.
