Chapter 4 Fourth stunt

 The seven remaining couples are walking to their next stunt holding their partner's hand. They see Emily and they are ready to get through the next stunt.

"Hi everyone. We are now down to seven couples competing for one million dollars. Congrats to Janet & Adriaan for winning the last stunt. The good news is no one will be eliminated today. Instead, you will be playing for a pair of 2024 Ford Explorer XLTs" said Emily.

Everyone was clapping and were ready for their next stunt to win the new cars. They saw a platform over a pool and wondered what they were doing next. Emily explained the stunt.

"Here is your next stunt. You each will be chained to that platform and submerged underwater. Once underwater, you will each have to figure out which key unlocked the lock, free yourself and swim to a buoy to stop the clock. Whichever couple does this the fastest will win the cars. If either of you quit, you are out of the running. We have randomly selected today's order and Nathalie & Scott, you guys are lucky number one. Come with me." said Emily.

Nathalie & Scott went with Emily to talk before they started the stunt.

"Alright Nathalie & Scott, you guys are first, do you think you will get nervous the longer you wait for your turn?" asked Emily.

"I am glad to go first because this looks insane." said Nathalie.

"I am happy to go first so the other couples will be nervous to do this." said Scott.

Alright, you guys know what you need to do. Remember you are going first, set that bar." said Emily.

"Thanks!" said Scott & Nathalie.

After Emily left to join the other couples, Nathalie & Scott stripped down into their bathing suits, put a pair of goggles on and went to the platform to start the stunt. A safety expert put a strap on Scott's right ankle and Nathalie's left ankle. The expert then put a chain with a lock on each band and locked the lock. The platform was then raised into the water and the expert told Nathalie & Scott to keep their hands on their heads until they were fully submerged.

"Alright, Scott & Nathalie, remember you are going first, set that bar. Time starts as soon as one of you is submerged, time stops when the second person touches the bouy. Good luck" said Emily.

The platform started to lower in the water. Nathalie & Scott were taking deep breaths. Nathalie was first to go underwater (Starting the clock) & Scott was close after. They grabbed the keys and started to figure out which keys unlocked the lock. Scott got it on the first key, while Nathalie got it on the second key. They swam up to the surface and started swimming to the buoy. They touched the buoy at the same time and stopped the clock. Their time was thirty-three seconds. They got out of the water, dried off, each put on a robe and joined the group.

"Good job to Nathalie & Scott with a blazing time of thirty-three seconds. How was it?" asked Emily.

"It is scary going underwater but we had to remain calm and do it one key at a time. We are done and happy with our time" said Nathalie.

"Alright Adam & Alicia, you are next. Are you guys ready?" asked Emily.

"Yes we are." said Alicia.

"Head on out and good luck to both of you." said Emily, sending Adam & Alicia to have their turn on the stunt.

Adam & Alicia got ready by getting into their bathing suits and were ready to take their turn. Adam got the strap attached to his right ankle while Alicia got it on her left ankle. They put their hands on their head to begin.

"Alright, Adam & Alicia, time to beat is thirty-three seconds. Good luck." said Emily.

The platform was lowered into the water. Alicia went underwater and Adam followed a second behind. They each grabbed their keys and started looking through the keys to find the right one. Adam got his lock unlocked and went to help Alicia. Alicia was struggling to find the right key and she called it quits. A safety diver went to release her and brought her to the surface. They were out of the running. They got out of the water, and each got into a robe. Adam hugged Alicia for trying her best. They then joined the group.
