Chapter 26

[ Sunghoon POV ]

"Will you marry me" I said, kneeling down in front of her.

She looked so shocked.

"No" she answered. "What? Why?" I asked her, standing straight in front of her. "I don't want to marry a player like you" she said. "What?" I asked, confused. Did she know about the bet? She knows about my one-night stands? Who told her? Niki? I was so confused.

"Yes, a cheater like you. You think I don't know anything? Well, I know I already saw it with my own eyes when you were eating that girl's face in front of me," she said, tears coming out of her eyes. "Look, it's not like that, I already stopped doing that, I really love you" I said and was about to hold her hand, but she took a step back.

"Don't touch me, keep your dirty hands away from me" she said and left. I wanted to hold her hand to stop her, but I just stood still there watching her as she left me standing there.

The ring slipped out of my hands. It's messed up, it's all messed up. It's all because of me. Of course, she will leave me, who wants to be with a player like me.

But I....I...fell for her....for real this time.

I go and do one-night stands with girls because I want to forget her. I want to distract myself from her. She is always in my mind. I don't want to give my heart to her but in the end She owns my heart and no matter how hard I try to forget the feelings and not to fall for her, but I keep falling for her harder and harder.

Tears keep running out of my eyes. I wipe them, but it seems like they don't want to stop. I ran out and sat in my car, driving fast.

I need something to distract myself.

And like that, I end up choosing my worst habit. It's been my habit for years. Whenever I get hurt and don't know what to do with myself and my feelings. I just go to bars and drink as much as I can and make out with random girls.

[ Time Skip ]

I woke up. A random girl beside me. I don't even know her name.

I took my clothes and got dressed and went to my condo.

Jake, my best friend, messaged me.

Hey bro, where are you? You are not picking up my calls. Are you okay? 

1:40 a.m.

I saw his missed call. He called me like 50 times.

I sighed and called him.

*On call*

Hey bro! Where were you? You know how worried I was?

  

Sorry man,

I'll tell you what happened later.

I'm in my condo right now.

Okay

Bye.

*Hang up*

I went to shower and got dressed. I don't feel like eating anything.

I went to Jake's house.

I greeted his mom.

"Oh my boy, sunghoon. How are you?" His mom said as I hugged her. She is like another mother to me. After my mom died she is the one who took care of me. "I'm good! How are you?" I said, smiling at her. "I'm beautiful as always" she said, flipping her hair.

We both burst into laughing hard.

"Ok ok, well, Jake is in his room, playing games as always" she said, rolling her eyes. "Okay!" I said and ran up to Jake's room.

I sat beside him as he turned off his game.

"So tell me what happened?" He asked me with a serious face. "Ah, you know Yuri?" I said, hesitating if I should tell or not. He knows everything and he knows it too, how I feel for her. But I didn't tell him that I was going to propose to her.

"Of course I know her, wait-  don't tell me you did something dumb" he said, eyes wide open. "Ah… Actually I proposed to her yesterday" I said. He gasped. "What? Really?" He asked. I nodded my head. "So what she answered? She said yes?" He asked, all excited. "No... She knows everything Jake, she left me" I said, trying to hold my tears.

"What? What does she know?" He asked, confused. "She knows, she saw it, she said I'm a player, I can't blame her, but I don't know why...when she left me like that it hurts like hell. I tried to stop her, but she already saw everything. I deserve that. A player like me should be treated like that, it's all my fault" I said, looking down.

Jake came near and hugged me. "No, it's okay, don't worry, I'm with you, you'll win her back" he said, rubbing my back, trying to comfort me. "How? She hates me so much" I said, looking at him. "We will find a way. Don't worry" he said, smiling at me.

[ Time Skip ]

I spent my whole day with Jake. Playing games, eating, watching movies.

After that, I went to my condo and got ready for school.

I will apologize to her.

As I parked my car. I saw Yuri with Niki. They were both giggling and laughing at something. They look so happy. Niki kissed her cheeks as he hugged her. Why is he being so clingy? Can't he take his hands off from her?

Jealousy took over me.

And in some seconds. I'm standing in front of them glaring at Niki.

"Yuri, I want to talk to you" I said and grabbed her hand. "But I don't wanna talk to you, and didn't I tell you to keep your hands away from me?" She said and jerked her hands away.

"But I want to talk to you" I said, and grabbed her hand again. Niki came and stood in between us. "Take your hands off" he said, glaring at me as I glared back. "And who are you, to tell me this?" I said, pulling Yuri close to me.

"Her boyfriend, now take your hands off from my girl" he said. I looked at Yuri. She is looking at me with a blank face. 

"Yuri...please" I said with pleading eyes. She again jerked her hands away from mine. "sunghoon we are nothing, stop chasing me" she said, and walked away with Niki.

I broke down again. I walked to my class.

As I was walking to my class, Someone called my name.

"Sunghoon!" I turned around to see who it was. It's a girl. I don't even know her. She came running towards me.

"What?" I asked with a blank face. She was all red. Is she blushing? Disgusting. "You remember me? Last night we both did something" she said, poking her index fingers together. "No, I don't remember you, now go" I said, waving her away. I don't have energy for this.

I was about to walk away when she grabbed my hand. I glared at her. How dare she?

She let go and stand straight. "You said I could be your girlfriend" she said, still holding my hands. "Look, I was drunk that time and I don't remember you, leave me alone", I said as I was about to walk off when she grabbed my hands again.

"But-"

"I. SAID. LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" I yelled. She jumped, scared and ran away crying.

"These filthy people" I said, rolling my eyes.

I turned around.

"Yuri...." My eyes when wide as I see her. She was standing there with her friend, looking at me with all hatred.

Great.

Now she hates me more.
