As I walked into the Big House, I was still bargaining with myself about telling Chiron. I decided it's for the best - and it would be too late because Chiron was already waiting for me to speak.

I gulped, "Chiron, there's something I need to say..." I told him about the day before I got claimed. How Aphrodite claimed me while I was alone. How I got confused after I got claimed by Poseidon and decided not to tell anyone. And lastly, the most important question, "Am I mortal or immortal?"

Chiron looked flabbergasted. He 'sat down' in his wheelchair and kept thinking to himself. He then spoke, "I don't know, child. Maybe the gods took your immortality? Why would they though? And if they threw you out of Olympus, why claim you? And why now? So many questions, kid. I'm afraid we should tell the rest. It was Aphrodite who claimed you first anyway."

I nodded and sighed. I didn't like how she looked. I'd always admired natural beauty - not make-up-covered faces. These looked like clowns. Now I looked like a clown. (Thanks, mom.)

I grunted internally and excused myself. I wanted someone to hang out with. I looked for Percy and found out he was with Annabeth. I didn't want to distract them so I decided to hang out with Nico. I knocked at the Hades cabin door and heard a faint "Come in." I opened the door and walked in, "Busy?"

Nico seemed distracted. He was stuffing clothes in a bag. He looked up at me, "Nope. Wanna hang out?"

I nodded, "I was just gonna ask."

"Walk on the beach?"

"Exactly what I was going for." I smiled. How could we be so similar?! I liked him so much.

No. Y/n, you don't like him! It's a stupid crush that will fade away. He doesn't like you back anyway. I told myself. Boy was I wrong.

We got out of the cabin and went to the nearby beach. I crossed my legs and sat down on the sand. I took a deep breath. I wanted Nico to be the first one to know of my secret. I spoke calmly, "Nico, I need to tell you something."

Nico sat down across me. He also took a deep breath, "Me too."

I nodded, "You first."

"I'm pretty sure the rule goes, "Ladies first.", not the other way around."

I chuckled, "You got me there." I took another deep breath, "Look, I'm not a half blood..."

His eyes widened, "What?!"

"I am not a demigod. I don't know what exactly I am, but my mother isn't mortal. She's Aphrodite."

Nico stayed silent. He looked very surprised. He started to gather his mind then spoke, "You- You're a daughter of Poseidon and Aphrodite? Are you mortal? I mean, have you lived longer than a normal person or are you really 13 years old?"

"I'm really 13 years old. That's why I don't even know if I'm mortal. Maybe my parents took away my immortality when they left me in the mortal world."

Nico nodded.

I spoke again, "So, what did you want to say?"

Nico stumbled upon his own ideas. He kept stuttering until he finally got the courage to say it, "Y/n, I like you. Not in a platonic way..."

I was flabbergasted. My crush liked me back! (Thanks, mom!) He made the first move! I needed to speak, "Nico!" Damn it! He just confessed he liked me and that's all I say?! I spoke again, "Nico, I have been waiting for this moment since forever. Since when did you like me?"

"Since I first saw you and decided to help you. I felt this energy. My mind was like, 'This girl is gonna be important stuff in my life.' I felt we were gonna be close friends. But dating? I first liked liked you when you came crying to me and really opened up to me. I felt like you really trusted me and not a lot of people trust me. I felt like you didn't mind that I was an outcast or that my father is Hades."

I couldn't help it anymore. I wanted to hug him and hang onto him like he's the only person in the world. I leaned in a little, waiting for a sign that he agrees to this. He leaned in and sealed our lips together. It was short but I felt like I was on fire. She felt like I was dreaming. I'd always told herself it was a silly crush and he wouldn't like me back. I was actually happy I was wrong.

The day went perfectly after. Nico asked me to be his girlfriend and Chiron told everyone I was a daughter of Aphrodite as well as Poseidon. Nobody acted like it was weird. Nobody treated me like an outcast. Nobody asked me too many questions, even though I knew everyone had questions. I loved it at Camp Half-Blood. This was the first time I felt like I belonged, even though everyone had a mortal parent and I didn't.
