loving you for years silently
is tiring; it drains me
as getting hurt, getting endeared—
the cycle that should end.

to stop this hopeless love
make heart-flutterings fly above
i picture you getting married,
happy and unworried.

even though that kills me slowly
i know my heart truly;
it'll be free from your love's chains
and heartaches will be slain.
