Once Upon A Curse

chapter 8

Ciara entered her mothers office after receiving a call from Emma telling her to meet her there and she saw her mother holding a hat.

"What's with the hat?" Ciara asked crossing her arms and leaning against the door frame.

"Oh right, Gold marked your mother and now a soul sucking wraith is trying to kill her." Emma explained to her and Ciara smirked at the mention of Regina's death.

"Great lets celebrate." Ciara said laughing, "You'll finally get what's coming to you."

"CeCe, please you have to help me." Regina begged her daughter but Ciara just scoffed at her statement. "Why should I? You took everything from me." Ciara argued back to her Mom as Emma stood between them before things could escalate.

"Layla..."

"Ciara." Ciara said cutting off Emma.

"Ciara, I know you hate Regina, but think of Henry, He'd never forgive you if you didn't help save her" Emma said causing Ciara to groan in frustration knowing the saviour was right.

"What do I need to do?"

In the town hall Ciara, Emma, Regina and the Charming's stood around the hat. Davis handed out torches to prepare for the wraith.

"So. How does it work?" Mary Margaret asked.

"It will open a portal to our land. All we have to do is send the wraith in there." Regina explained.

"Oh, yeah. Just that." Davis said sarcastically.

"I dont understand. I thought our land was gone?" Mary Margaret asked ignoring her husbands sarcasm.

"It is. But, sending it to a place that no longer exists " Regina begins but is cut off by her daughter. "Well, that's banishing it to oblivion." Ciara states still hurting at the mention of the enchanted forest being gone.

The lights begin to flicker as they hear the wraith approaching and they light their torches.

"Ciara." Emma said getting the girls attention. "Yeah yeah" Ciara replied rolling her eyes, she steps forward to use her magic to open the portal.

The doors to the room burst open and the wraith enters the room.

"Ciaraa!" Emma yelled.

"I know I have eyes Swan" Ciara yelled back focusing more of her magic on the hat, Regina steps forward to help. After a lot of struggling the two got the hat to open but the wraith charges towards Regina, Emma pushes Regina out of the way, causing the wraith to fall through the portal. but it grabs Emma's ankle pulling her with it.

"No!" Snow and David yelled, "I'm not losing her again" Snow yells looking at Charming before jumping through the portal.

"Neither am I." David jumps towards the vortex but the portal closes, before he can get through causing him to crush the hat.

David frantically gets up off the floor, he gets up and walks closer to Regina. "Where are they?!" David yelled.

"I have no idea." Regina snaps back.

"Are they dead?" Ciara asked her mother standing behind David.

"The curse – it destroyed all the lands." Regina answered honestly.

"Are they dead?!" David yells again.

"I dont know."

"I shouldve let Ciara kill you." Davis snapped, "I'll still Glady do it." Ciara adds.

"Well, then. Whats stopping you?" Regina asked stepping closer to her daughter. Regina magically throws David up against the opposite wall. Vines magically protrude from the wall, holding David in place while attempting to strangle him.

"You think youre some heroic prince? Please. Youre nothing but the son of a shepherd. I shouldve killed you when I could. And now Now I can." Regina smirked at made the vines tighten around his neck, just as Ciara was about to stop her Henry and Ruby rushed into the room.

"Mom?" Henry said as he saw his grandpa magically bound to the wall by his mother. Regina's head snaps to her son and her gaze softens. "Henry, what are you doing here?"

"What are you doing?" Henry asked his voice shaking.

"It's okay. Youre safe now." Regina replied, releasing the vines from around Davis causing him to fall to the ground, Ciara goes over to help him.

"W-Wheres my mom and wheres-" Henry continued to ask his mother questions.

"Theyre gone. They fell through a portal. They're... Henry, Im sorry." Regina said her heart breaking slightly at the hurt look on her sons face.

"No, you're not. You really are the Evil Queen. I dont want to see you again." Henry tells his mother backing away from her and into his sisters arms.

"No, dont say that. I love you." Regina was trying her hardest not to break. "Then, prove it. Get Emma and Mary Margaret back. And until then, leave me – leave everyone – alone." Henry said.

"But where will you go?"

"With me" David said and looked at Ciara "Both of you" he added causing a small smile to spread on her face.

The 4 of them left the room leaving Regina behind as they left to go to Mary Margaret's apartment. A few hours later David walks in to see Henry staring at a picture of Emma.

"Henry?" David said snapping the boy out of his thoughts.

"Yeah?" Henry replied not looking at him.

"Dont worry. Emma and Mary Margaret – theyre alive." David said his voice filled with hope.

"How do you know?"

"I have faith." David replied.

"But" Henry began to argue but David stopped him, "Henry. Come here. I will find them. I will always find them." he said and pulled him into a hug.

Ciara stood by the stairs watching them, thinking about if Emma and Mary Margaret survived then maybe Killian did too. Maybe he will be alive, something inside her felt that he was okay.

*The enchanted forest past*

"Killian!... Killian..." Ciara said running towards her love who was lying on the docs. She watched as two hooded figures try and run from were Killian was laying on the floor. She used her magic to freeze them to the wooden boards beneath their feet.

"You two cowards messed with the wrong pirates." Ciara said walking towards them. having no mercy she plunged her hand into their chests and pulled out their hearts before crushing them in her hands turning them into dust.

She heard Killian groan from behind her as he stood up. "Hello, love" he said through a pained breath.

"what did you do this time?" Ciara questioned the pirate and stood closer to him. "Nothing" He replied innocently. Ciara raised her brows at his statement pulling him closer by his belt. "Oh really?" She said brushing her lips against his.

"Okay, maybe I took something but that doesn't matter." He shrugs innocently causing Ciara to roll her eyes playfully.

"One of these days you'll get yourself killed." She said teasingly.

"Didn't I tell you love, I'm a survivor." He grinned as he pulled his love into a kiss.

Ciara felt her eyes well with tears but she refused to let them fall at the memory. she smiled as David gave her hope that maybe Killian is still out there somewhere, she knows she'll see him again.
