Around 6 am, in the Hotel's kitchen
Amber's P.O.V:
I sprinkled cinnamon on the raspberry pancakes and ensured the other breakfast items looked perfect on a long table beside the kitchen. At the same time, my radio played Le Festin before my ram ears twitched a bit, hearing someone coming to the kitchen. I smiled, knowing that Miss Charlie was awake. I dusted my hands off and removed the apron before putting it on the hooks I added. I had to clean the kitchen deep early this morning. It was a mess: old food, no spices, and only crappy processed food. I won't have that in this kitchen. If Miss Charlie wants her Hotel to run, she will need fresh food and none of this processed crap.
I sighed and rubbed my head before hearing someone enter the kitchen, and I turned around to see Miss Charlie enter with a moth demon that had an "X" shape eyepatch over her left eye, wearing a dark gray peter-pan collar, dark gray trimming on the sleeves, and two dark gray buttons down the front. She also sported a choker and a mini skirt with a thick pale pink waistband hugging her waist, both colored in the same dark gray. I noticed her accessories: a set of fingerless slate-gray opera gloves with matching thigh-high stockings, which included white scallops at the cuff and toes.
I raised an eyebrow at the young lady's style but shook my head. It's not the worst thing to wear. "Whoa! You made all of this, Amber? This looks amazing!" I heard Charlie say, and I looked at her, smiling sweetly before saying, "Yes. I hope you don't mind me making so much. I wasn't sure what you would want, so I made the most popular breakfast meals, including my favorite. Bacon, eggs with metaled cheese on top of the eggs, and I even have a pot of coffee going for you, and everyone else is here." I saw Charlie's eyes turn to stars and run over to the moth demon before grabbing her hands and saying, "This is amazing! Vaggie, we have a chef and a new guest!" Vaggie looked at me, then back at Charlie, and gave a nervous smile before she said, "Uh... yeah. Of course, sweetie."
"Is that your name, little moth? Vaggie? It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Vagatha."
"My name is Vaggie. Not Vagatha. But if you try anything to bring danger to this Hotel, I swear-"
"Now, Miss Vaggie, I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. I have standards." I said, guiding Vaggie and Charlie to the table and smiling before my ram ears twitched. I turned to see Angel, Sir Pentious, and a cat demon who looked familiar before I shook my head. It's probably my mind playing tricks on me. It couldn't be Husker. The same Overlord that gambles. Randy told me about him and how he would be a great ally, but he disappeared before I could... I looked at the cat demon and noticed a familiar bow tie before I sighed and rubbed my head. I can't think about this right now. I need to focus. "And who's the ram, princess?" I heard the cat demon say before Charlie said, "Oh, right! Husk, this is our newest chef! Amber!" I looked at Husk and smiled before I said, "Hello, Husk. It's a pleasure to meet you. Please call me Miss Amber."
"Hmp. Whatever you say, Ram."
"My my. Aren't you a grumpy one. I have a feeling you take an Irish-style coffee."
"Hmp. I like her."
"Now, why don't you all eat up? I'm sure you're all-"
"Hold on, We better get Niffy and Smily," Angel said, walking out of the kitchen and yelling for two names. I raised an eyebrow at the name 'Smily.' It's quite an odd name. I sighed and grabbed a mug before pouring coffee into it. I get out a mini bottle of whiskey from the cabin above me in one of the mugs and pour it into the mug for Husk before I give it to Husk and see a 3'4 feet one eye demon wearing a 1950s dress walking into the kitchen, smiling at me. I looked at the little demon and smiled before kneeling to her and saying, "Hello there. Aren't you, cutie? My name is Amber. I'm the new Hotel's cook. What's your name?"
