6 weeks Later
Amber's P.O.V:
I was going to the kitchen when I saw Ian and the others looking at Charlie, who was at the fireplace looking over some papers. This made me raise an eyebrow before I walked over and said, "Miss Charlie, Is something the matter?" Charlie ignored me and started to place the papers over the fireplace before Ian said, "Yeah, she's been like this since midnight. We're just waiting for Vaggie to get up and try to fix this." I looked over at Charlie and sighed before I rubbed my head and said, "I think I'm going to make a pot of coffee. Does anyone want one?" Everyone looked at me and nodded before I went to the kitchen and made a pot of coffee while I got everyone's favorite mug and yawns.
These past few weeks have been better than I admit. My Radio Star and I have been cuddling each other to sleep, but we kept it on the low, mainly because of Angel. I already knew Alastor likes to protect those he cares about. I already told him I understood, but if anything happened to this Hotel and him, I would fight with everything I had. I won't lose anyone close to me ever again. I sighed and rubbed my head before I put the coffee mugs on a small serving tray and went to the Lobby, seeing Charlie still going crazy over papers, but now the papers were tacked all over the fireplace.
I raised an eyebrow and gave everyone their cup of coffee, with Charlie's and Vaggie's mugs on the table, and slowly drank my coffee. "I don't know if I should be impressed or worried about how fast she did this in a short amount of time," Betty said, looking at Charlie and drinking her mug before I sighed and rubbed my head. "Charlie, sweetie? You...uh good?" I turn to see Vaggie standing next to me, and I give Vaggie her cup of coffee before Charlie turns to us and says, while looking insane, "Nope! No, not really! Ha ha. I've been up all night trying to find out why the Hotel isn't working! We've done trust falls, tried sharing our feelings, even done the shows that Betty has been putting on, and sold Amber's desserts! We only have a couple of months left before the angels come!" Charlie turned to her demonic form and went back to the papers, containing to say, "At this rate-"
"Maybe it's time-"
"NO."
"To ask-"
"DON'T SAY IT."
"Your dad." Vaggie said, making Charlie groan when Charlie was close to Vaggie before I raised an eyebrow and said, "Miss Charlie, you have done everything you could by yourself. It's not a sign of weakness, my dear." Charlie groaned and looked at me before she said, "But he let the extermination happen to begin with! They just had a meeting and said, 'Go ahead and kill everyone!'... wait, that's it!" Charlie looked over the papers, and Vaggie said, "Kill everyone?" Charlie looked back and shook her head no before she said, "No! He could get me a meeting with Heaven!"
"Didn't we already try that?"
"Yeah, with Adam. He was an asshole. But he isn't in charge of all of Heaven. We could go to the top. There must be some angels who will listen..." Charlie got her phone out, and it was clear that she had found her Father's contact information before hesitating. I sighed and looked at Charlie. "Miss Charlie, are you nervous about calling him?" Charlie looked at me and said, "No. We have just never been close. After he and Mom split, he never really wanted to see me. He calls sometimes, but only if he's bored or needs me to do something." I looked at her and was worried before I heard Husk mumble, "Daddy issues."
I glared at Husk and sighed before I said, "She may have that, Husk. But at least he contracts her. My Father didn't give two shits about me, and I know a true parents love is. Miss Charlie, call him. It's okay. If he hurts your feelings, I will give him a piece of my mind." She looks at me, and I smile softly before she calls her Father. I see Vaggie holding her hand during the call. I'm glad that Charlie has a support system. It shows how much she tries her best, even when stressed out.
