The next morning
Third's P.O.V:
"Fuck...why do those two have to keep me up? They kept talking about that stupid bunny. He isn't even that special. It doesn't matter if he called perfect. I mean...he was rather cute, but... ugh! What am I thinking?!" Ian mumbled to himself while yawning and walking to the kitchen, groaning a little before he stopped in the doorway and saw everyone was awake, but there was no breakfast. Ian's eyebrow furrowed in confusion, and they looked around the kitchen to see it was spotless, as usual, but what threw him off was the time. It was 8 o'clock. Amber has breakfast ready, along with a pot of coffee for everyone. "Where's Amber?" Ian asked, looking at Charlie. She looked drained while Vaggie sat next to Betty, making it clear that Vaggie was giving Charlie space. Betty patted Vaggie's back, but Vaggie slapped Betty's hand away, and Betty rolled her eyes. Randy sighed and looked at Ian before he said, "We don't know. We thought you were her. She never sleeps in. Angel would see who was the bravest to go to Alastor's room since he isn't up either."
"Hey! You ain't going, so it must mean you're chicken shit!"
"No. I value my life. I know the Boss, and she isn't the one to sleep in, but you want to keep your hands; you don't wake her up."
"Whatever. Then who has the balls to go knock on Alastor's door?"
"I'm not taking that chance! Remember the last time you did that, Angel?! Amber had to save your dumbass! Oh wait, you don't have an ass!" Betty yelled at Angel, smirking before Angel gasped, offended, and they started arguing over who had the best parts for sex while Husk and Cain looked mildly entertained over their partners fighting. Cain looked at Ian and said, "How about you go to Alastor's room? You are pretty much the only one who won't take Alstor's bullshit. Husk and I have to handle these two power bottoms anyway." Ian just looked annoyed at Cain before rubbing his head and saying, "Fine. But I don't want to hear Angel's teasing for two weeks." Husk looked at Angel and saw Angel still arguing with Betty before he said, "Deal. I'll take care of it, kid." Ian rolled his eyes and walked up the stairs to Alastor's room on the top floor of the Hotel.
Ian hated going anywhere near Alastor, even talking to the Radio Demon. And Ian knew that Alastor felt the same way. Ian and Alastor only played nice around Amber, but the second she left the room, they tended to glare and fight at each other's throats. Alastor tries to annoy Ian with those damn dad jokes, and Ian simply calls Alastor out on his behavior which always ends up in a verbal fight between the two making Amber the one to break it up. And it was never pretty how she did it. She would pull their ears and treat them like they were children, which always made Alastor and Ian groan at her actions.
Ian didn't like how Amber always treated him like he was her child. The only Mother Ian ever knew was Carmilla Carmine. The woman who raised him until she kicked him out at eight years old. He banged on the door many times, begging her to come back home to the point that his hands were bruised from how hard he beat the door, but he stopped after one of the weapons she sold fired a holy bullet, leaving a permanent scar on his left cheek. He remembers running after that and falling into that damn fighting ring. He still remembers how the owner tried to make it a game of whoever could kill Ian in the ring, but it made Ian the cash cow for the Guardian Lion. Ian barely remembers any of the demons he fought. It was all a blur to him until Amber came and got him out of it. He is still thankful for her but would rather not have another mom in his life who would leave him behind once again.
Ian sighed and rubbed his head before stopping right in front of Alastor's room and looking annoyed. He really didn't want to, but if he could get Angel not to tease him anymore, he'll knock on that damn deer's door. He sighed and knocked on the door before he said, "Alastor, you up yet? I need to talk to you about something. It's about Amber. Everyone is wondering where she is since breakfast isn't made." Ian heard someone moving around, and the door opened. Ian saw Alastor wearing his red and black striped pajamas, smiling at Ian, and blocking his room with his body before he said, "Ian, my boy! What can I help you with?"
