"It has been worse than before" Vedang cleaned the mess on the table and offered a glass of water to his bestfriend.
It was at 6 when he received a call from Karthik and the way his voice sounded alarmed Vedang that it's something serious or else his loud self won't be so slow and as he guessed Karthik was a mess right now.
Karthik took a sip from his glass and and placed it on the table.
"You need to talk to your parents Man" Vedang says to him and he immediately shook his head, "They don't care" Vedang sighed in frustration. "Okay maybe they don't but you're still their son"
Karthik has been trying to build a business since they finished college. He always wanted to open a club and he did but it's not going as planned. His parents has always been quite rich but never had time for him. They don't even care how he's doing in his life and that is something beyond Vedang's understanding.
Vedang cleared his throat and hesitated for a minute but still speak, "You got me" Karthik laughed at that and got a hit right on his forehead, "ouch that hurts asshole" Vedang shrugged, "you deserve it" They both laughed. After a minute Karthik mumbled "I know I've always got you"
They both fell silent. Letting the years of love and support they had for each other take over.
Vedang never says it but Karthik means so much to him. He has been there for him in the lowest of his time and no matter what He'll always be there for Karthik as well. He is his brother for life.
"What's with the water Man. Get some drink for God's sake" Vedang shook his head at him and grab a bottle of alcohol.
They both pop out the bottle, "To us" Karthik yells into the silence, "To us" Vedang mumbled.--
"Good morning" He says to his assistant and looked around toward Noor's desk but it was empty. Why is she always late, He thought to himself.
"Sir we've a meeting with, Mr.Kapoor at 12 pm" Vedang stopped in his tracks. He hates that guy. If there's one thing Vedang despise it's someone being obsessed with themselves and that guy is so full of himself but so is Noor, the other half of his brain reminds him and he shuts it off.
She has all the reason to, He thought to himself and smiled.
He glanced to her desk again and It was still empty. He sighed, "She desperately needs some professionalism"
He head toward his office and caught Noor written on one of the coffee machine and smiled.
