Sitting in her backyard kritika was painting the beautiful scenery of nature with smile

It's Sunday she doesn't has anything to do so she decided to paint and in this house it's only backyard that has beauty so she came here , it's not like anyone cares or anything

She's missing her friends though and she don't even has phone so there's nothing she can do despite missing them , but even if she had phone she can't call any of them because they might be busy enjoying Ruhi's elder sister's engegment, ruhi did invited her but she knew her parents will not allow her so she denied her politely even though she wanted to join them but ruhi took promise from her that she will be there in marriage so now she has to prepare a good excuse for that as well

she sigh looking at her painting, she's always been good at it thinking that she grinned happily

" Dii" she quickly turned around hearing the voice finding her step sister standing there looking really nervous

" You want something?" Kritika asked her meekly , she still didn't know much about mahi despite being here with them for a week, well almost two

" Umm no ,actually I came to apologise for my mother's behaviour " mahi said walking near her

" Oh , it's alright " kritika said smiling at her , today morning her stepmother again created a scene but ofcourse it's not mahi's fault so she shouldn't be saying sorry

" No i should have said something, she intensely did that today it was clearly not your fault" mahi responded immediately making her chuckle, kritika pointed towards the rock

Mahi nodded and sit on it looking at her curiously " it wasn't your fault, as i said it's alright, leave it " kritika smiled at her

Mahi smiled at her and look at the canvas, her eyes widened looking at the beautiful scenery" wow , did you painted it ? It's looking so realistic " she said looking at it with so much interest

" I did " kritika mumbled looking at the painting with a small smile, she like it when someone appreciate her work

" It's really beautiful" kritika look at her,
She just smiled warmly finally getting some good vibes from someone in this house

" Can you also draw or paint portraits?" She asked curiously

" I can " kritika nodded remembering the very first portrait she painted, it was of her grandmother

That day she was very excited to show it to her Grandma as she's the one who always used to encourage her to paint but before her grandmother could see it her neighbour's children ruined the portrait, she still remember how much she cried that day hugging her grandmother while she just tried to calm her down saying that she can again make it but it hurted a lot because it was her first perfect portrait

" That's really cool" mahi clapped excitedly making her giggle

Mahi cleared her throat rubbing her hands with small smile " you know I was so nervous before coming here , i was afraid that you'll yell at me but here you are behaving sweetly despite my mother's behaviour towards you and dad also doesn't stop her"

Kritika look down at her sadly but then covered it up by smile again" sometimes we just need to close our eyes and turn deaf, sometimes because we have to and sometimes because we just don't have any other choice " she chuckled mockingly before looking at her

"Sometime I blame myself for the situation I'm in today somewhere reason is me only , so the things mom and dad says or do it doesn't hurt that much because it doesn't matter anymore" mahi look at her in shock

" Why?" Mahi whispered frowning cause she didn't knew behind this smiling face there will be this hopeless person

Kritika chuckled packing her colours" because when I needed him the most he wasn't there and now i don't need him , today I'm living with him not because he's my dad and i forgot everything, no . It's because of my grandmother, she's the reason why I'm here today and about your mother... let's just say it's just not meant to be " she chuckled making mahi smile betterly not because she said all this for her parents but because she's right

" Don't be sad you will surely find someone who'll actually love you the most in this whole world, he'll make you forgot all your problems, your trauma and your past , I'll pray to God that you found him soon and live happily with him." Mahi said smiling sweetly knowing a pure soul like her deserved it the most

Kritika chuckled shaking her head, now she don't believe on all this , how can someone love someone like her? When she has nothing to give him in return, she learnt one thing from life that it's all about give and take

Love is forbidden fruit for her that she wants to eat but can never have it

Suddenly she felt like someone's watching her , she frowned and look around finding no one she shook her head, it's all covered with dense tree's, she again look around but there's really no one, she sighed

"What happened di?" Mahi asked frowning in confusion

" Nothing, let's go inside" kritika said pulling up the canvas

" Sure, lemme take it" mahi quickly took the tripod grinning making her chuckle

They both went upstairs in kritika's room , just as they went from there a guy jump down from the tree smiling brightly

" If you are done being creepy then can we go now, i can't believe we are here leaving in the middle of function " Mohit said sneering still practically laying on tree looking at his best friend

" Hmm let's go " yuvraj said smiling still looking at the place where she was seating before , well Mohit is right they're enjoying the function fully but yuvraj wasn't able to hold himself more from seeing his Jaan and here he is risking everything just to see her once

Ahhh she's really becoming his addiction,not that he's complaining....
