This chapter is short

Ruben

I can't believe Prince reacted that way. I know I'm only a child myself but that doesn't mean that I will abandon my kid.

Whatever happen I will always be there for Lora and our child.

"Ruben," Lora called. I turned around and saw her sitting on the bed with tears stained eyes. I sat beside her and dried her tears.

"Don't cry Lora, we'll figure this out." I told her.

"What will happen now?" She questioned.

"I don't know, but whatever happens I will always be by your side." I comforted.

We lay down together and fell asleep with a lot on our mind.

I was awoken by loud knocks on my door, looking beside me I saw that Lora was still sleeping. Not wanting the person at the door to wake her up, I quickly got up and answered the door.

Prince stood on the other side of the door with his arms crossed. "Isn't it too early for a lecture?" I asked annoyed.

"We need to talk, Ruben."

"No matter what you tell me Prince. I'll support Lora and our child." I told.

"That's good to hear." He said and I furrowed my brows in confusion.

Thought he was here to lecture me on all the things that I did wrong.

Is this some kind of reverse psychology?

"Having a child is not an easy task, there will be challenges and I hope you are ready for that."

"You and Monica did a good job with Zack. You did a good job because you found the perfect woman for you Prince, that's what Lora is for me, she's the perfect girl for me."

"I'll always be here when you need help Ruben." Prince told. He pat me on the shoulder and walked away.

I closed the door behind me and when I turn around I saw Lora sitting up I'm bed. "What's happening?" She asked while rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

I walked over to her and kissed her forehead. "We are going to be just fine." I told her and kissed her forehead once more.

Lora relaxed into me and closed her eyes. This girl has become one of the most important people in my life, I'll never lose her. I'll make sure of that.

I'll make sure she knows how important she is to me every day.

I was worried when Ruben's brother, Prince reacted that way. I thought this is it, he's going to tell Ruben to leave me.
I should have know that he was just angry, who wouldn't be.

Even though I haven't known Ruben's family for long, I could tell that they are good people, especially Monica.

I was okay and I will be okay as long as Ruben is with me.
