Luca Caruso is a grad student from The Bronx, in New York, wanting to learn engineering and expand his family's cooking to other people.
After graduating with honors, Luca is invited by a friend to study abroad in Osaka, Japan, who offered to pay for the expenses and help him find his place.
After moving in with some of his roommates in Osaka and learning at the University, something eerie about the apartment Luca's living in starts to creep up: disembodied voices, shadows, objects being moved, and touching him on his shoulder, almost lovingly in a way.
Luca starts to do his research on the events taking place in his apartment, but what he will find out will make him wish he never took the offer to study abroad in Japan.
