Before Posey was born, Tonya Katts met a guy in 1965 who was her boyfriend till 67, they'd get drunk together and once nearly gotten themselves kicked out off a bar for "bad behavior". However after being knocked up by the same bloke, Tonya's messed up fairy tale of a life was over. After Posey's birth, her now estranged partner denied she was his, and Posey never met her father, ever.
Posey now had to live with one of Tonya's sisters. Monica Katts now married had left Manchester and was living in Stoke on Trent. She hadn't talked to her estranged sister in so long and had no idea about her neglected niece, she and her husband didn't have kids and decided to adopt her since there was no where else she could go.
After the long trip from Manchester to Stoke, Posey was finally at her new home, she looked out the car window at the big white and gray house. Monica's husband Leland opened the back door, Posey stared towards her uncle with a blank expression.
"Come on out dear." Said Monica. Posey's first week with her aunt and uncle were fine. Monica and Leland were not the ones to get flat out drunk, Monica did drink as it was a habit among women in the Katts family, but Monica didn't have issues like Tonya did. Posey adjusted well to her new home, despite not having anyone to play with at home she learned to play with herself well, there was a television downstairs that her auntie let her watch until night time, but she also had a radio in her bedroom too, they had better food too.
All was well and easy, for a while.
But not everything in life is free, Posey attented school regularly and hated it. Sodsworth Comprehensive School, where she couldn't go in her tomboyish clothes, instead a blazer and skirt, nothing wrong with wearing a skirt, she wore those and dresses all the time without a problem, but she hated being there.
Everyday she'd put up a daily fuss to not go. Whenever she was there the confidence she had at home was missing, especially when confronted by Claudia Withers and her lackies, they tortured Posey anytime they could, no matter how hard she tried to avoid them, they always found her. Claudia would grab her collar and yank her back, poke her and pull at her hair calling her "reggedy Posey". All the name calling and attacks made her even more miserable than she already was.
