May 11, 2005

A couple years passed and the triplets were now 2 years old, and couldn't have been worse for their mother, for one thing her body appeared back to normal again but different, no matter how many times Murdoc or Regan would remind her how sexy or pretty she looked, she didn't feel like it, under between her leopard print tank top and hot pink shorts were stretch marks around her stomach and a visible cesarean scar line.

The inside of the flat was messier than ever, like an indoor dumping ground, but instead of waste it was toys and empty junk bags. The backyard wasn't anywhere clear, a couple of big plastic toy cars cornered by the high fence one toppled over carelessly, a bunch of outdoor toys left scattered about and left to pick up dirt and colors nearly faded from rainwater and the morning dew. It wasn't a pretty picture, but it didn't bother Posey too much, it was a better childhood than what she had before living with her auntie and uncle, excess toys and things to play with, not needing to tip-toe down a dark hallway and keep a door ajar and just run around wailing.

Posey flopped onto the big rose-printed couch with her son Fauster who was already casually sitting whilst eating a slice of an apple.

She smiled and stroked his static black hair "Are you eating an apple?" She asked as she played with his cheek, he giggled in response. She sighed and stretched her joints as she made herself comfortable next to him. The pregnancy and the c-section were the only things that affected her body, she also breastfed the trio which sucked because she was basically a human cow, she'd feed Fauster and Mahalia first and when either one of them finished she'd do Mitzi last, Murdoc thought this was a bit annoying that she'd do Mitzi last but her excuse was Mitzi being the "oldest", yes she age ranged the babies based on who was removed from her body, Mahalia was the "youngest" because she came out last, the surprise child.

Fauster patted her mother on the head gently, Posey lifted her head up, her eyes were still bloodshot from sleep-deprived nights, even with the triplets being two year olds that didn't mean things got easier for her during the nights, now that she no longer had to feed them like cattle, she went back to red wine, which helped put her to sleep.

Posey's near nap was taken over by the door opening and her green lover plus the triplets daddy walking in. Posey was so tired and didn't know what to do.

"Aye love how've you been?" He approached her before she could slowly get up and pulled her up so she could sit onto him. "How was you're day?" She asked.

"Great, our album just got released in America." He revealed. Posey twisted to look at him.

"Oh dear that's amazing, we should celebrate!" Posey exclaimed, she stood up and approached the fridge. "Should we have cake?" She asked as she took something out of the fridge, revealing an unfinished cheesecake in a plastic clam-shell container, it was white with a crumbled base and a cold frozen strawberry, or at least half a strawberry. She also took a bottle from the cabinet of her favorite wine. "Come on let's celebrate!" Murdoc smiled at her enthusiasm, but made a face at the leftover cake, some cake to celebrate with, nothing particularly wrong with leftovers but he'd suspected she'd pull out something basic but big, a nicely decorated sheet cake perhaps.

"I'll pass on the cake darling." He said, Posey filled up two glasses with the both of them. "Wow, you really fill these things up." He joked, they both had a laugh, clinked the glasses and sipped. "I'm so glad to be back to normal." She commented.

"Absolutely, but we're hardly from normal now." Murdoc gestured with his head towards Fauster still on the couch now sucking his sweet tasting fingers. "I know, but at least I can have heavy drinks again." She said, gleefully.

Mahalia suddenly came out from the dark hall holding a piece of paper, her hair in two ponytails sulking down to her shoulders, a couple strands by the sides of her head, wearing the cutest violet-colored dress with ivory socks. She was so silent that Murdoc and Posey didn't realize she had arrived to grace their presence until she touched her daddy's leg.

"Uh? Oh hey there kiddo." Murdoc put the glass down on the counter to pick up his little girl.

The name Mahalia meant tender, she was the easiest baby besides Fauster, hardly cried most nights, and she was also a literal mix of both mum and dad, she had Posey's cold blue eyes and Murdoc's viridescent complexion, a bit mintier, her little face was the most adorable too, like an little puppy.

"Didn't we make the perfect baby?" Posey asked. Murdoc looked back at Mahalia and smiled.

"Sure did. You're the cutest girl I've ever seen love." He commented to the tiny green girl.

"I though I was?" Posey asked, she could get a bit jealous, although it was the honest truth.

"But it's true isn't it Hallie?" Murdoc asked as he sat the itty bitty girl onto the counter. Murdoc began calling her Hallie because although Mahalia was cute he said it was also a bit of a mouthful.

Posey smiled. "She is." She said, stroking the little girl's hair and cheek.

"She's just like me, isn't she?" She tickled her cheek making the girl giggle.

"Whatcha got here?" Murdoc asked. On the paper was a drawing, considering her age and still learning a lot of things, but Posey and Murdoc could make it out perfectly, what appeared to be olive green skin and black hair, tongue sticking out, wearing a purple cape, black pants and brown shoes, obviously it was Murdoc.

"Aw love, did you draw me?" He asked, Mahalia nodded, her ponytails bounced as she did.

Murdoc lifted the little girl up towards the ceiling, a big smile stretched across her little face and her eyes narrowed with joy. "You're my biggest fan love!" He exclaimed. Posey made her way back to the couch to sit with their son, calm and tranquil as usual. Just as Murdoc was praising his daughter for her work, his "older" daughter Mitzi emerged from the hallway carrying her own sheet of paper with crayon artwork of her own, wearing only a red shirt and her nappies and black socks.

"Oh, do you have something for me too love?" Murdoc sat Mahalia back down and pick his mini-me up and next to her sister. "Let's have a look." This picture was different, a poorly drawn depiction of a girl with short black hair, one black eye and one red, her stick figure arms out, one holding what looked to be a microphone and a guitar in the other, wearing a red dress and red shoes, a red bow on her head.

"Is that suppose to be you?" He asked. Mitzi nodded. "Yep."

"Rocking with your little guitar and your mic, your singing too? Well I'll say." Mitzi bounced a bit. "Play play." She said. "Play what? My bass?" She tugged at his shirt.

"Okay okay, we can go down to the studio, if that's alright with your mother." He looked at Posey sitting on the couch with Fauster on her lap, stroking his raggedy hair back.

"Yes, we can all go." She looked down at her son resting on her legs. "Do you want to gob see you old friend Russel?" He bounced up excitingly and smiled, he loved going to Kong to see Russel, when his father was "to tired" to do anything with him or sometimes recovering from hangovers where he couldn't see, he was with Russel.

"Alright then, let's go darlings." Murdoc said, scooping the sisters into his arms. "Will you bring your art to show your sister?" He asked, the girls nodded, referring to Noodle.

"Wait! The girls need their shoes, and Mitzi needs to put pants on." Posey said, fixing Fauster's hair a bit.
