4 in the morning
Posey was awake but induced with regional anesthesia, and barley listening to the doctors operating on her body, they spoke to her and each other, kind but serious as they processed everything and made sure she knew all was going as steadily as possible.
She felt so weird during the procedure, numbed from the waist down so she couldn't feel the scalpel cutting into the lower part of her body, she couldn't even see what was being done to herself as part of herself was separated by a big blue curtain, leaving her to stare up towards the white ceiling.
Other than the white noises drilled into her head and her mindless humming, a burning smell hindered through her nostrils, beforehand she'd been told she'd feel pressure on her chest during the procedure but didn't expect it to be so intense. It felt like someone was sitting on her chest, but no one was doing such a thing, but also a pulling sensation kicked in that made her feel nauseous and suffocated. She though a c-section would be easier than going through the pain of pushing a baby out, but she knew so less. Some seconds passed she heard a couple cries a separate moments, and the nurses making some sort of sweet talk. Some seconds later the doctors began speaking like something was up, leading up to a third cry.
"Looks like you had a hider Miss Katts." Laughed one of the nurses.
"What?" Posey thought. After the doctors finished stitching Posey's abdomen up she was left to rest and recover, her body still felt locked in from the medical drugs she'd been induced with, soon Regan and another friend of theirs named Delphine entered the room eager to see her.
"You ok?" Regan asked as she got close to Posey. "Yeah." Posey responded in a raspy tune. "So, it's twins right?"
Regan fidgeted with her hands and looked back at Delphine who nodded. "Nope, triplets." Delphine blurted. Posey's eyes widened but she couldn't overreact too much because her body was still frail. "Triplets! oh that's horrible, awful!" She managed to exclaimed but not that much.
"Ok love don't lose it you're still recovering, it's not something to put your panties in a bunch." Regan reassured her. "You sure Regan? It's triplets, I don't know what her body or the lord was thinking but she can't do all that." Delphine said, Regan just ignored her and asked. "Can you call Murdoc to see if he's awake?"
"Yeah uh, where is he, shouldn't he be here?" Delphine asked as she set down her knitting to use the hospital phone.
"The doctors said during the c-section that only one person could be present, and decided it would be me." She smiled. Delphine scoffed. "Or maybe it was because he doesn't want to see her cut open, the last couple of weeks he was dreading the sight of her being opened up like this." Delphine gestured towards Posey, who was trying to lift the hospital gown.
"Posey don't do that, the scar is still healing!" Regan snapped.
"I just need to see how bad it is." As happy as Posey was to no longer be pregnant after making the decision to stay pregnant, she was dreading the postpartum appearance.
"Is Murdoc coming?" She asked, Delphine had just left to room to try calling him to come down and meet the newborn babies. "I want him here, I need him." She begged.
"Delphines ringing, when we left earlier he was still asleep, so nice of him to stick around these past months, it's been rough hasn't it?" Regan asked.
"Yeah, I'm happy it's over but it's not the end of the road, or the highway." Posey replied, When she broke the news to Murdoc he was visibly pissed, not at her, but himself. Remembering how he taunted Posey into having sex in the car with him, without a condom for the 2nd time, the first time nothing happened and Posey didn't think anything would foolishly.
