Chapter 33

~ 3rd Person POV ~

After finally completing the paint job on one side of the room, Taehyung and Jungkook decided to head downstairs to prepare dinner for themselves and the kids . They decided and settled on making beef stew with potatoes and carrots, as the weather was turning chilly, which was one of the meals the kids loved

And Jungkook loved it too

Taehyung finally got finished cooking after a while Jungkook to bring the kids to the table to eat

" Babe, you can go with the kids, I'm sure the food is done. I just need to set the table " Taehyung said as he started to grab some bowls, utensils and cups from the cabinet and began setting the table

After a few minutes, Taehyung quickly heard the sound of quick footsteps running downstairs, the word "soup!" from a voice that only belonged Sohee

Maybe for the whole family, this was one of their favorite meals. Sohee came bounding towards Taehyung, repeatedly calling out "mommy" in excitement. Lord she was hyper and wide awake

Taehyung couldn't help but sigh as he realized that when she went to sleep early, Sohee's energy seemed to peak during the nighttime. She was going to be up for a while more hours than usual

Taehyung smiled when he looked up and saw Jungkook with Jungsan comfortably resting his head on his shoulder, making Taehyung's heart melt

"I got the gremlins" Jungkook said with a playful smirk, making Taehyung chuckle as he rolled his eyes with a big smile on his face

Taehyung took Sohee in his arms, he then placed her into her high chair, making sure she was comfortable before putting her food in a tiny plate. Meanwhile Jungsan assembled Jungsan's plate

Taehyung and Jungkook finally put their food on their plates but they sat down to eat, stuffing their faces with the homemade meal that the whole family enjoyed. As they were talking and eating, they all were interrupted by a sudden knock on the door

Taehyung turned his back and looked at the clock, wondering who would be knocking at their door at dinner time, and Jungkook and Taehyung almost never had people show up unexpectedly

Jungkook looked at Taehyung before he himself from the table and made his way to answer the door. Genuinely wondering who it could be knocking at their door so late in through day

After a few minutes, Taehyung got up from the couch, stretching his arms above his head before making his way to the living room. He definitely wasn't trying his best to be nosey and snooping in his husband's business but he wanted to know who was here

As he entered, his eyes immediately catches a glimpse of a man standing by Jungkook, handing him a stack of files and an envelope

Jungkook noticed Taehyung's presence behind the wall ams and quickly introduced the man, "Oh, I'm being rude. Taehyung, this is a co-employee who needed to drop off some papers for me. Don't worry, it wasn't a total stranger " Jungkook said with a chuckle as he pointed to the man

The employee gave a polite nod and a warm smile, extending his hand towards Taehyung

"Hello, nice to meet you," He said with a smile and shook his hand politely.Taehyung returned the gesture, shaking his hand firmly

"Nice to meet you too," Taehyung replied, a friendly smile spread across his face as he was genuinely relieved that it wasn't a creepy stranger knocking on his door so late at night. At least Jungkook knew them

After hearing his employee's voice, Taehyung but his Jetton lip as a certain feeling washed over him. It was as if he had heard that voice before, but he couldn't quite place a finger on it

He struggled his shoulders and shook off the feeling, he went back into the kitchen and sat back down at the table, trying to focus on his food and his kids

However, when Jungkook returned and reassured him that everything was under control, Taehyung couldn't help but bring up the topic

"Have I ever met your coworker who just came by?" Taehy asked, wanting to see if Jungkook had ever brought him by while Taehyung was there

"No, not that I recall. Why do you ask baby?" Jungkook asked as he sipped his wine

Seeing that Jungkook didn't bring him by, he shook his head and smiled. " Nothing babe" Taehyung said with a little smile and continued eating
