~ 3rd Person POV ~
Jungkook was sitting with his friends Jaehyun and Keeho at lunch, eating their food and chatting until Jaehyun stopped to get his friends attention
"Listen guys, this school year is so fucking boring nobody is doing this year's senior prank. We leave in two weeks! we need to go out with a bang. I refuse to leave this school without doing something good " Jaehyun pointed out, seeing that nobody wanted to do the usual and typical senior pranks
"So what? What's the point of a senior prank? I didn't even feel like doing Senior ditch day " Keeho pointed out as he continued looking at his point, not interested in what Jaehyun was talking about
"Sorry Buddy but I agree with him. We need to do something, nobody else is doing shit, what's the point of being seniors if we don't show out?"
" Not you too " Keeho groaned
" I got it! Let's do a smoke bomb!" Jungkook said enthusiastically, the biggest smile appearing on his face when a good senior prank showed up in his head. It was going to be harmless but also funny
"Why a smoke bomb?" Keeho asked Jaehyun innocently, wanting to know out of all the ideas in the world, why was a smoke bomb the way to go
"SeolHigh School lost their basketball game last week. Let's make the smoke bomb our colors to mock them when they play us at the pep rally" Jaehyun suggested, mischievous written all over his face
Jungkook and Jaehyun high-fived each other, hyped about the prank. Keeho, on the other hand, hesitated. Not sure if this was a good idea and he didn't really feel like getting scolded at by the principal for disrupting the pep rally
"I don't think that's a good idea" Keeho mumbled with concern, he wasn't sure if this was a good idea
"Come on, it's harmless! It's only sugar and potassium nitrate, see, no biggie. It shouldn't even take my more than five minutes to make it. We are going to be just fine, don't worry" Jungkook reassured, placing a hand on his shoulder to assure him it was harmless
"Yeah, stop being a sore loser. They mocked us last month, so let's get even. I'm all down for the prank, I think it's a good ideal" Jaehyun added, egging them on, wanting Keeho to join them. After all, all of them were best friends and it would be fun
"Exactly! I'll grab the sugar and potassium nitrate from the science lab. We can put it together tomorrow during the pep rally. And picture this - right when Friday noon hits and the first bell goes off, our smoke bomb will explode in stunning red and gold colors. It's going to be epic, dude!" Jungkook enthusiastically said, ready to do this memorable senior prank
No one would forget it
Okay...but if we get caught, I'm out and I'm not kidding" Keeho, a bit more cautious, chimed in with
Jungkook and Jaehyun playfully teased, "Aw, what a whimp!" They said as they finished their lunch and went back to their classes, then back home
The next day, Jungkook, Keeho, and Jaehyun sneak out of their school's annual pep rally to go into the science lab. They needed to figure a why to get out of there without it being suspicious that all three of them just magically had to leave at the same time
" You guys ready?" Jungkook asked as he saw that the pep rally was starting and all of the teachers and administrators were in the gymnasium
In a crowded gym Keeho, Jungkook, and Jaeh needed to leave without being noticed immediately. Jaehyun looked over at Keeho and smirked
" Keeho, you still know how to fake a nosebleed on command?" Jaehyun asked. Keeho shrugged lazily and nodded. He faked a convincing nosebleed, with Jungkook pretending to be concerned. Jaehyun then rushed them towards the exit, pretending it was urgent to go to the admin.
They reached the administrator, where Jaehyun urgently asked to use the bathroom, telling them that it was an emergency. The administrator, surprised by Keeho's nosebleed and Jaehyun's urgency, allowed them to leave quickly
Jaehyun and Jungkook smirked at each other and high five as Keeho rolled his eyes and cleaned his bloody nose. He was always willingly to do something stupid for his two best friends
They all ran to the science lab and started to get started. Jungkook took out sugar, a pan, tape, and a toilet paper tube from his backpack
"Keeho, watch the door while Jaehyun puts the tube together, and I'll make the smoke bomb. We shouldn't be in here that long " Jungkook stated as he pointed to the door and Keeho nodded his head
Keeho closed the door and muttered, "I'm not so sure about this idea." Jungkook hushed him as he heated the pan on the automatic heater.
"Hurry up, Kook, we need to finish before the second bell" Jaehyun urged a little bit
"I'm on it, I'm on it" Jungkook reassured while adding the sugar, not sure why he was rushing him
"Can we leave now?" Keeho begged
"Relax, Keeho, we're almost finished." Jungkook replied. The raven continued to mix the sugar and potassium nitrate until he noticed the sugar was running low and he looked around the table
As he glanced around the room, his hands reached for a tube, filled it with water, and immediately poured it into the mixture. In a sudden moment of silence was heard before the pot erupted into flames, sending all the boys falling on the floor and sucking
"Kook, what have you done?!"Keeho's voice pierced through the chaos, almost yelling as he saw a faint fire on the table, already touching the ceiling and heavy smoke was quickly filling the room
Jungkook's voice cracked with panic as he stammered, "I... I don't know, I just added water..." he whispered, coughing and he looked around for a fire extinguisher put the smoke was too heavy and it started fogging up the room and he could see one
"You mixed water with sugar and potassium nitrate? You're top of the class, how could you not know this would cause a fire?!" Jaehyun's eyes widened in disbelief as how could Jungkook be so clueless
"Put it out before the fire alarm goes off!" Keeho urgently shouted but Jungkook could even see a fire extinguisher due to the fog in the room. He couldn't focus properly, it's like his mind was starting to go blank. He didn't know what to do
"Guys, we have to leave NOW!" Jaehyun's voice echoed with urgency. They needed to leave right now
"We can't just leave it burning..." Jungkook hesitated, sweat beading on his forehead. They couldn't just leave it right here, it could be dangerous
"If we get caught, we're fucked, we need to go Kookie. We have no choice, just leave it there" Jaehyun asked, heading to the door. Reluctantly, Jungkook nodded, "Fine, let's go." They fled the scene, sneaking back into the rally, their faces drenched with sweat and nerves. They were shaking and panting
After what felt like an eternity, the loud sound of the fire alarm pierced the air as everyone jumped in surprise. It was then followed by an announcement to evacuate the building. Everyone got up and started walking out the gymnasium
While everyone was talking out , the confusion was hitting the students on why they had the leave
"What's going on?" Jungkook overheard whispers
"I heard the science lab caught on fire." and another voice replied as they all walked outside
Guilt and regret hit Jungkook like a train
"What have I done..."
