The large door that leads to the attic is open, Spencer stops, removing her leg, and generating an energy leg before heading off into what she feels like is going to be battle.  “There is no need for you to…”

Spencer ends out a pulse of energy to the person talking and it hits him full force.  Rylee follows her up the stairs, both of them cresting them and they find a handsome dark blonde hair on his back.  “Keziah,” growls Spencer.  She takes two quick steps to him; she rears back her energy leg and kicks him hard.

“I won’t hurt you,” says Keziah, his hands are up in surrender.  “She loves you, too and she’d never forgive me if I hurt you.”

“What did you do to Sydney!” says Rylee.  She is brandishing a broken end of a broom like a baseball bat.

Keziah grips his stomach where Spencer hit him.  “Nothing, I’d never do anything to her, I would never hurt her.  I lover like Spencer loves her and I’d never, ever hurt her, Rylee Scott.”  Fresh tears fall from his cheeks.  His blue green eyes are clear and honest.

Spencer growls and straddles him, pinning him to the floor, she punches him until fresh blood explodes from his lips and nose.  “Where is she?”

“Don’t kill him!” begs Sydney, appearing next to Rylee from the staircase.  “Please, Spencer, don’t kill him.”

“You’re kidding me, right?” says Spencer, her hands balled into tight fists, ribbons of electric blue power twirl around them.  Her nostrils flair in anger and she glares at Sydney.

“That’s Carter,” says Sydney, her voice hitching hard.  “And, god help me, I think he’s my other soul mate.”

Emma, Amy, and Shelby tentatively step into the tunnel that will spit them out in the back yard of the brownstone, thousands of miles away.  “Why am I not teleporting?” asks Shelby.  Her blonde hair tied back in a tight ponytail, wearing a thick orange sweatshirt.

“If I have to ride this slippery slide, so do you!” snaps Emma. “Jayden said it’s like being digested.”

“I’m going to puke,” says Amy.  She steps into the mouth of the tunnel and disappears.

“Great, she went first so if she pukes we’ll end up in it too,” says Shelby.  “Screw it, webs away!”

Once Shelby disappears, Emma stands there for just a moment longer.  “Webs away?  What is she, Spiderman now?”

Emma steps into the tunnel and it molds around her, cocooning her, encasing her in a blaze of whiteness then red.  She doesn’t feel the speed around her body but just in her mind, her power activates and she sees snippets of things in the past, more than likely from objects buried or around where the tunnel is burrowed.  As suddenly as she was taken in, she’s spit out, like the water from a well, onto the grass in New York.

She feels her stomach heaving but she keeps down her breakfast of toast and orange juice.  “I’m never doing that again,” gags Emma.

“I liked it, I really want to do it again, best ride I’ve had since, well, never mind when,” says Amy.  “Come on.”
