Ara POV

The freshman year is complete.

Finally... I am going back home after six years.

After our finals, Jieun and I have one month of vacation, and Yoongi is on rest for a month since his debut preparations are almost done. We decided to visit our hometown. We miss home.

When I told others, all of them managed their schedules since this was the first time we were all going home together.

It is me who is going after six years.

All of them visited at least once a year but not me. I was the one who skipped for six years. More like, I wasn't allowed to.

Whenever I asked my mom, she always refused but this time I am going and I am not telling her. I will surprise her.

Maybe she will get furious at my decision. No, she will be but I can manage that. I just miss my town and my home so much.

So we decided to go home and surprise everyone, and we did not tell anyone except Uncle Mark and Aunt Mira (Yoongi and Jieun's parents).

Uncle Mark just can't resist my puppy eyes, and when Jieun and Yoongi need something from him and he's not giving in, they usually rope me in to help. It's a whole other story, but he's honestly the best uncle anyone could ask for.

When we were in town, he used to know where our hideout was. He gave me a lot of chocolates secretly without letting Mom know.

He used to take me, Yoongi, Jieun, and our friends to the amusement parks. He is the reason why I am so stubborn. He spoiled me.

He is so sweet. He never denied my request. He knows about all my past crushes. Even Jieun doesn't know all of them but he does.
He knows me so well.

But he hides secrets from me.

We are leaving tomorrow so we are packing our bags. This is the first day of the vacation. All my friends from college are going to 'The Hamptons' for the first week of the summer vacation but I cannot wait a single day anymore to go home.

Even thinking about it makes my body tingle.

After wrapping up everything, I headed to Jieun's room to see how she was doing.

Yoongi was already there, lounging on the bean bag and scrolling through his phone.

Jieun was still packing and humming a tune, clearly excited. We were all pumped for it.

I figured I could lend a hand since her room looked like a tornado had hit it, with clothes, shoes, and accessories scattered everywhere.

I turned to Yoongi and asked, "Did you finish packing?"

He smirked and replied, "Yeah, I'm all set. Just you two are taking your sweet time."

I rolled my eyes at his remark.

Jieun chimed in, "And that's why your bag always looks like you shoved a rat in there while packing. If there was a competition for the messiest suitcase packing, you and Hoseok would tie."

I couldn't help but laugh at her witty comeback, and Yoongi made a face at her in return.

It's always been like this—banter and sarcasm between the three of us.
