"I'll stay."
The words echoed through Fyodor's mind, showering him in relief and even.. joy? Fyodor felt like he could breathe properly for the first time in years. Knowing that Nikolai would have a roof over his head for another night... it gave him a bit of peace he hadn't felt in a long time. "Thank you," he said quietly, taking Nikolai's hands again. "Now, let's get you into bed." Nikolai followed Fyodor silently to the bed, allowing himself to be led to his temporary resting place. He'd slept in worse environments before, but he was grateful to have a place to rest his head at all. Fyodor gave him a reassuring smile before he tucked the boy into the bed. "Sleep well," he said softly as he straightened the blankets and pillows.

Nikolai felt a bit numb as he watched Fyodor take care of him. Something about the boy's gestures – so gentle and caring – made him feel a bit lightheaded. When those last words, "sleep well," were spoken, Nikolai could feel a strange warmth wash over him. He was about to close his eyes when he hesitated, an afterthought hitting his mind. "Wait, can I ask you one last thing?" "Hm?" Fyodor asked, turning around as he was just about to leave the bed room. His voice was a bit curious, his gaze on the white-haired boy in the bed. Nikolai found himself taking somewhat of a deep breath as he prepared to ask the question. It was something he'd been thinking about for a little while, but he hadn't had the courage to bring it up. However, now seemed as good a time as any. "You... could you stay with me.. for just a few minutes?" he asked, slightly embarrassed that he was asking such a selfish favor.

Fyodor was taken aback by the request, and his heart started to beat a bit fast. It'd been a long time since he'd had the chance to just... lay down in bed with another person. He was used to being alone and trying to keep his mind occupied, but having someone to share his bed with again...He could feel the blood rushing to his cheeks as he nodded cautiously. "I could do that, you know.. if you want me to."  Nikolai smiled softly, feeling a bit embarrassed by the way his request had caused Fyodor to blush. He'd gotten the answer he wanted, so he was satisfied. However, he couldn't resist teasing the boy a little bit. "Come on, I'm not asking that much," he said playfully, patting the space in the bed next to him. "Just a minute or two, that's all."

Fyodor couldn't help but chuckle at Nikolai's persistent teasing. The boy really knew how to push his buttons, it seemed, even when he was being serious. "Alright, fine..." he said with an exasperated roll of his eyes, climbing into bed next to Nikolai. "Is this how you'll be all night? Bugging me about everything?" Nikolai chuckled. "Maybe, maybe not," he teased back. "It all depends on how boring you are, I guess." Then, he rolled over so his back was pressed against Fyodor's front as they laid side by side in the bed. "Happy?" he asked, his voice a bit softer as he relaxed into the warmth of the bed. Fyodor felt his eyebrows raise as he felt Nikolai's back pressed up against him. The closeness of his presence felt comforting in a way – and it also made his heart start beating a bit faster. "Happy," he agreed quietly, his tone just as soft as Nikolai's. He wrapped an arm around the other boy, pulling him closer towards himself as they lay there together under the covers. "For the person who basically said he was homophobic, this isn't supporting that claim at all." Nikolai teased, giggling.

Fyodor rolled his eyes with a small scoff. "Oh, shut up, will you?" he replied, his tone playful but also slightly annoyed. It felt... weird... to be laying this close to another boy. But somehow, he didn't feel the same disgust this time. Maybe it was because he was able to rationalize his actions here. He was just being... kind.

Nikolai couldn't resist laughing at how easy it was to tease Fyodor. It was as if the boy had no defenses around him – he just felt free to prod and poke at him without fear of retaliation. "Don't be upset, Mr. Homophobic. It's just my way of getting to know ya better, that's all." Nikolai said with a teasing grin. Fyodor couldn't help but roll his eyes again. "You're gonna keep teasing me with that title, aren't you?" he said dryly, despite his body's reaction to the boy being pressed up against him. Nikolai glanced over and noticed that he'd managed to provoke the blush from Fyodor's cheeks once again. He smirked, unable to resist the urge to keep teasing him. "Yes, I am," he replied, his tone light and playful. "Are you bothered by it?" he said with a bit of amusement in him voice, his gaze lingering on Fyodor's face. Fyodor shifted slightly, feeling his face grow even hotter with his embarrassment. "Of course it bothers me," he said through gritted teeth, avoiding Nikolai's gaze. "I'm homophobic, so don't attempt to say I'm embarrassed because I'm interested in you. I'm not."

Nikolai shrugged slightly as he looked over at the boy beside him, seeming slightly smug that his prodding was working. "And yet you're laying in bed with a boy right now." he said with a teasing smirk, his words seeming to tease and provoke all of Fyodor's conflicting feelings at the moment. Fyodor wanted to deny Nikolai's teasing so much. But he couldn't deny that there was some truth to the boy's words. "Alright, listen," he said with a small huff. "I'm just... being friendly, that's all." Nikolai grinned. He could tell that Fyodor was a bit conflicted at the moment, and he couldn't suppress the urge to dig into that conflict with his teasing. "Really? You call laying in bed with a guy 'just being friendly'?" he said, his tone becoming more amused as he watched Fyodor's face flush slightly. Fyodor found himself sighing again at the boy's words. The teasing was too much for him right now, but he had to admit that the situation they were in wasn't exactly typical for two people who were "just friends." With a huff, he shifted away from the boy as he tried to regain his composure. "Alright, fine," he admitted. It felt weird to admit it. "Maybe this isn't exactly 'just being friendly.'" "See, Fedyaaaa?~" Nikolai teased, grinning at the raven haired boy.

Fyodor scowled at the sound of his nickname. Now wasn't the time for teasing, especially not when he'd just admitted that this was different from two friends merely "being friendly.""Okay, fine... I was wrong," he said with a hint of annoyance. "I am, in fact, bisexual. Happy?" Nikolai's face lit up, and he couldn't resist the urge to celebrate his 'win'. "Yay!!~" he exclaimed with a grin, his excitement seemingly unable to be contained. The boy seemed genuinely happy to have 'proven' Fyodor's sexuality to have not been completely straight. Fyodor let out a small noise of annoyance, feeling that Nikolai was just rubbing it in his face at the moment. However, he couldn't argue against the fact that the boy did look genuinely happy. "You're enjoying this too much," he said flatly, not bothering to hide his annoyance at the moment. Nikolai chuckled. "Oh, am I?" he asked, his tone becoming playful. "Well, maybe I am." Then, he let out a small giggle. "But I'm just happy that this means you aren't gonna be kicking me out," he said, his tone still playful as he laid next to the tall raven-haired boy.

Fyodor remained silent for a moment, feeling a bit irritated – but part of him found the boy's excitement to be almost contagious. "No... I'm not gonna kick you out," he admitted, his tone softer than it'd been in a while. "I'm gonna let you stay as long as you need to." Nikolai smiled as he felt the tension and annoyance seemingly dissipate from Fyodor's tone. He felt as though the tall boy was still irritated, but the fact that he could even admit that he'd be allowing Nikolai to stay beyond tonight was a victory in the kid's book. But Nikolai wasn't done teasing him just yet. "Really? You won't kick me out even if I annoy you?" he asked playfully. Fyodor's irritation went back up to its previous level the moment Nikolai asked him that. "Yes, I won't kick you out even if you annoy me," he said with a slight huff. "Just go to sleep and stop trying to push my buttons." "But what about your father? He would find out instantly if you let me stay.." Nikolai inquired, now seeming concerned. Fyodor sighed at the reminder of his father. He hadn't really considered the consequences of letting Nikolai stay beyond this night with him. "I'll figure out something," he said, his tone sounding annoyed as he brushed off the boy's concerns. "Just stop thinking too much."

Nikolai stayed quiet, seemingly thinking things over a bit more. Fyodor's reaction made sense, given how strict the man was. Even the thought of Nikolai staying over longer than one night would most likely make Fyodor's father furious. "Are you sure?" Nikolai finally asked. "Because... I don't want to get you in trouble with him." Fyodor groaned, feeling a wave of frustration and annoyance wash over him at the boy's question. The whole situation was irritating enough as it was, but Nikolai's considerate attitude was making it even worse. "I said I'll figure it out," he said irritably, his tone making it clear that the boys' concerns weren't wanted. "Just stop thinking about it. Let's just fall asleep already." Fyodor felt the boy's head settle against his chest, the warmth from Nikolai's body almost a soothing kind of sensation to his own skin. Even the annoyance he was feeling now seemed to diminish by a bit, replaced by a sense of... comfortability. "Good night, Kolya." he said softly, his tone containing a hint of affection. With that, he closed his eyes, allowing himself to relax alongside the other boy.
