SANTIAGO had led them to a nearby bar, and the group made their way inside, settling into a booth in the dimly lit establishment pulsating with music. While the others engaged in lively conversation and laughter, Billie sat at the edge of the table in between Santiago and Benny, quietly nursing her drink.

"You were gonna piss yourself," Frankie teased Benny, prompting laughter from the group.

"I was getting onto the déjà vu part, man," Benny chuckled in response.

As the banter continued, Billie glanced around the bar, observing the patrons and the flickering lights. She took a deep breath, trying to push aside the lingering frustration from earlier.

"You're quiet," Santiago nudged her shoulder, taking a shot and placing it on the table with a thump in front of them. "Drink up."

"I am," she replied, raising her glass as her eyes remained fixed on the bustling crowd filling the bar.

"I know I can be a dick sometimes, but there's no need to give everyone an attitude," he told her. "Come on, we've nicknamed you Bumblebee for a reason."

"Yes, you are," Billie said, her eyes locking onto his.

"A dick?" Santiago asked with a smile, while Benny couldn't help but chuckle at their exchange.

"Yes," Billie challenged him, her expression remaining serious, though a flicker of a smile betrayed her resolve.

"Wasn't I right back there?" Santiago raised an eyebrow.

"You were overreacting," Billie told him flatly.

"We're a team, a family, Billie," Tom interjected.

"A dysfunctional one, yeah," she retorted to her brother.

Santiago conceded with a shrug, taking another shot. "Well, fair enough. But don't forget, you're part of this dysfunctional family too."

Billie couldn't help but smirk. "Lucky me," she quipped, finally allowing herself a small smile.

"So what's the plan?" Will chimed in, drawing Santiago's attention away from Billie. "Are their guys prepared to operate across the border? What's the scope of this thing?"

"Sunday soft hit is the way to do it," Tom suggested. "Otherwise, you bring in an army, you'd start a fucking war up there."

"Mm-hmm," Will hummed. "So, when do you need to present to the agency down here?"

"I'm not sure I wanna tell them," Santiago admitted, and Billie couldn't help but chuckle.

Of course, he was going to change the plan now.
