THE FOLLOWING MORNING, Santiago had spent the entire time with his "girlfriend," as they had all been referring to her lately. Speculations had arisen among the group about their relationship, given Santiago's flirtatious nature and the attention he received from women. Billie was keenly aware of this, recognizing that if circumstances were different and she was his age, she might have been one of those swooning over him.

They had agreed to meet him at the location he had provided them with, and Frankie drove them there. Upon arrival, they spotted Santiago waving them forward beside the large shipping containers.

"Hey, fellas," he greeted them watching Billie follow the boys out of the vehicle, joining them as they approached the container. With a click, he unlocked one of the containers and stepped inside. "Take a look at this."

"Jesus, Pope!" Benny gasped, his eyes widening as they beheld the array of weapons inside the container. "What the hell were you planning here?"

"Exactly this," Santiago replied, turning to face the group. "Every single gun, bullet, and fucking toothpick here's been sourced in-country. The idea is to pin this on a local rival gang."

Billie exchanged a glance with Frank, a mixture of surprise and amusement evident on her face. Santiago pulled out a phone from his pocket. "Now, who was it that didn't trust this lady?"

The group exchanged glances and Santiago continued. "Not only is she going to get us that extra van, but she got us this."

He turned the screen for them, revealing a video of a man. "There's our man, Lorea," he said. "And, oh! Look at what's there behind him."

"Looks like money to me," Benny grinned. "There's gotta be about 35 million there."

"We don't know that," Frank interjected.

"Whatever it is, it's a lot," Will added from beside Billie.

"What are you gonna do with your share, huh?" Benny asked them.

"Never spend your money until it's in your pocket, Benjamin," Frank advised with a pointed finger as he and Benny walked past Santiago.

"Well, I'm just saying, I'm gonna get that Ferrari, man."

"How original," Frank retorted.

Santiago and Billie shared a smile as they watched the two men inspect the weapons.

"What about the bird?" Tom asked Will who was beside Billie.

"Well, he said if we're there with three million bucks, he'll be there," Will informed him.

"So we got a bird, we got a van, we got Lorea confirmed in the house with the money," Santiago summarized, looking at Tom in particular.

"All right, give me... give me a minute," Tom said, motioning for Santiago to follow him outside. They exited the container, closing the door behind them and leaving the group in darkness. Billie couldn't help but give them a side glance as they walked away. She knew Tom would try to get her out of the equation.
