It's been years since I've been in a bookstore. May malaking library naman sa mansiyon ngunit iba talaga kapag sa bookstore na.
My cart is almost full of notebooks and other stuff. I planned to buy only school materials, but I found myself indulging in literature as well. I was so hyped to see the books I had been waiting for for years. Most of them are hardbound with inclusions inside!
I scowled when I noticed Kuya Angelus when I turned to look behind me. I made him push a big cart. He looks so out of place here, even though it doesn't look like he's having trouble with it.
In addition to his striking stature, his attractive face is just so... hard to ignore. Everybody was occasionally glancing at him, and now and then the brute would smile at them, flashing his flawless teeth and dimples. He's still got on his coat and tie, black shoes, and black slacks.
His tie was a little loose, and the coat was already unbuttoned. Under his coat, a white dress shirt with three buttons undone reveals a small portion of his chest. His hair was a little messy, and he cocked his head to study the book I had been quickly perusing earlier.
How annoying. Just looking at him annoyed the shit out of me. He's like a trigger button to me. Kahit na nagkasundo kaming ayusin ang relasyon namin, makita ko pa lang siya ay naiirita na ako.
I averted my gaze, and a wicked smile touched my lips. He ruined my plan with Reina. So... aside from my dinner, I'll make him pay for everything.
Gumanda ang mood ko at mas lalo pang dinamihan ang pinagbibili. I can feel him behind me, watching me take things I don't think I'll need.
"You will use all of this stuff?" he asked casually.
I glared at him. He looked at me and smiled. "What?" he asked innocently.
"Do you think I'll put them in the cart if I won't use them?"
He shrugged. "I was just asking. I think a notebook, one pen, an eraser, and a pad of paper are enough."
"You don't get an opinion, okay? These are my stuff, not yours," I hissed.
He chuckled. Tinalikuran ko siya at nagpunta na sa counter. Gusto ko na lang umirap nang biglang tumuwid ang cashier pati ang kasama nito nang mapatingin sa aking likuran.
Girls are very easy to read.
"Put them here, Kuya Angelus." I tapped the counter.
He put it there without saying a word. Gumilid ako at pinanood ang babaeng i-punch ang pinamili ko.
"Cash po, Sir?" nakangiting tanong ng babae habang nag-p-punch.
"Wala. We don't have cash. We will pay by card," ako mismo ang sumagot.
She glanced at me and nodded. The other lady started putting my orders in a bag. I glanced at Kuya Angelus. He's staring at the lady with a smile playing on his lips. Umawang ang aking bibig at tumingin sa babae. Namumula na ang mga pisngi nito at panay sulyap kay Kuya Angelus.
