"Mom, where are you going ?"

The young girl cried as she stumbled across the rainy, dimly lit path.

"I'll be back soon, don't worry."

Little did she know, this would be the last time she would ever see this peculiar woman again.

"But I don't want to," the little girl finally had the courage to utter, still uncontrollably hiccuping from her previous breakdown.

"Do it," The stranger snapped as she slapped her across the face, enough to sting but not leave a bruise. "You're lucky I didn't slap you that hard."

Her attempts to calm down before were now pointless, as tears began streaming down her red cheeks, dripping down to her feet as she looked down. Quickly wiping them away, she tried to keep her cries from being too loud — not because of the two strangers that abruptly took her in, but because she thought it was embarrassing at this point.

The stern woman — who, did, actually feel a pang of sympathy for her — could not bring herself to spare a glance at her. Meanwhile, the woman's husband seemed to have felt nothing towards the girl, continuing to smoke and drink at the kitchen window as the wind dishevelled his hair.

*currently rewriting and updating most chapters. (this is just an indirect excuse to say that I am practically on hiatus)*

I currently have no idea what I should write for future chapters...

you are a girl who has abusively strict and well, unreasonable parents, and you accidentally may have fallen in love with someone, what will you do next?

"why do I have to suffer, all alone?"

..

ーwill be lowercase on notes like these, although the main story is following proper grammar most of the time. I am not the best at using punctuation marks, so please bear with me.

warnings ー suicide, abuse (?), violence, maybe some blood as the story goes on. may also contain spoilers for other project sekai stories, if that's possible

I may edit this and add some other warnings as this story continues.
