Chapter 6: A Drink Made With Love

"...and then when I tried asking Bae for help, it turned out she was just like Irys!" Kronii continued her story with Fauna. She could feel goosebumps on her arm whenever she recalled Irys and Bae's strange behaviors.

"Gosh, that's horrible! It's alright, Kronii. You're safe with me," reassured Fauna as she patted Kronii's shoulder.

"Yeah, I just feel much better now that I'm with you," said Kronii.

Her body felt even more relaxed as she leaned on Fauna. For some reason, her mind felt at ease the closer she got to Fauna. All the problems that muddled her mind were washed away as long as she's together with Fauna.

"It's getting kind of late; do you want to just stay for the night?" Fauna suggested while looking at Kronii, her gaze more alluring than it's ever been.

Her offer was like music to her ears. Kronii wanted nothing else but to accept it right this instant. She wanted to stay longer with Fauna and spend the entire day with her. Nothing else mattered to her.

But for some reason, she felt that she shouldn't. Was there something that she had forgotten about? Her mind felt scrambled as she struggled to find the reason behind it.

'...Mumei.'

She finally recalled the girl that she'd left by herself. Along with it came the realization of what she'd been doing.

'Why did I just start telling Fauna about everything? Didn't I tell myself that I would need to be more careful?'

Kronii couldn't understand what had happened. Before she realized it, she had already told Fauna about everything. She attempted to trace back her thoughts before Fauna interrupted her.

"Kronii? What's wrong? Are you not feeling well? Just get some rest for now; I'm sure you're exhausted, especially after what you've been through today." Fauna requested, her sweet words whispered into her ears, along with that sweet scent coming from her.

'I'm sure it's fine if I just stay for one night...'

Her entire being wished to stay just a moment longer, to just forget about everything else and get herself lost in her embrace. After everything that she'd been through, shouldn't it be okay for her to indulge for just a moment?

'...Damn it, no! Something's not right!'

Kronii struggled as much as she could to regain her mind. She focused on the reason she had to return as she slowly calmed herself down. Bit by bit, she realized the reason behind her current state.

"K-Kronii? You don't have to think too much about it, why don't you go ahead and-"

Fauna's words were cut short when Kronii suddenly moved away in a blink of an eye. She distanced herself from Fauna using her power, and her face paled in fear from finally figuring out what was going on.

"Fauna, what did you do to me?" Her voice trembled as she asked Fauna a question. With her mind cleared up, a suspicion that she'd put aside began rearing its head.

"Ah, you found out, ehe~" Fauna playfully raised her hands in front of her, pretending to be caught in the act. "Did you use your powers to expire the tea's effects inside your system? You're so smart, Kronii!"

Fauna praised Kronii as if she'd done her homework properly, but it only riled up Kronii instead.

"You actually drugged me?! Are you insane?!" Kronii hysterically yelled out loud.

She had her suspicions when she recalled that her mind felt muddled every time she took a sip of the tea made by Fauna. After using her powers to freeze time, she used them once more to speed up her metabolism system and found her mind clearing up.
