Hello, this is NotToYu, writer of this story that you just finished reading. I've had a habit of pouring out my thoughts after I finished writing a story, so I'll just stick to it for now! First of all, I wanna say thank you to everyone that had stuck to the end of Time Warden's Popular Phase (Part 1). Whether you voted, commented, put it on your reading list, or just reading it, I really do appreciate all of you spending your precious time to read my story! 

I've always wanted to write a fun fanfic for Hololive, and I'm really glad that you all decided to come along. It really means a lot to see you enjoy and react to my writing, every single one of you are the reason I can keep on writing. Again, thank you very much!

About the story

I came up with the idea for this story around halfway through publishing my previous Luxiem fanfic (not-so-subtle plug check it out wink wink). At the time, I was already planning on writing a Hololive fanfic, but the ideas that I had at the moment didn't really click for me. When I was lazing around reading some mangas online, I stumbled upon a romcom manga that I've never read before and found it pretty fun.

When I finished it, the first thought I had was, "What if I make a HoloEN romcom with Kronii as a dense protagonist?" The second thought that I had was, "Am I a genius?"

So naturally, I started working on it.

When I was coming up with the ideas around it, it was already set in stone that Mumei will be a yandere, but I thought about how fun it would be to showcase both her yandere and cute side. Then suddenly I had an idea, "What if everyone have their normal side and their in-love side?" After that, I thought to myself, "Wow, I really am I genius."

Gap moe truly is something incredible.

For Irys, I wanted to show her mischievous side and have her tease the hell out of Kronii. You probably guessed where I got the idea based on the chapter's name. But when she flipped her switch, she'll show her deep lovey-dovey side and rant one-sidedly about her love while conveniently misunderstanding the others' opposition into loving words. I hope I can continue balancing between these two sides to create the most troublesome situations for Kronii in the future.

With Bae, I wanted to make her tsundere and create more misunderstandings between her and Kronii. When I imagined her giving snarky comments while trying to hide her feelings, it felt like it just clicks pretty well. For her other side, I wanted to showcase a pure, innocent kind of Bae that's shy to show her feelings. Unfortunately, I couldn't show that side of her really well, and the writing on Bae's part of the story felt weaker than the rest. To all the Bae fans out there, I'm really sorry!!!!! I'll try to do more research on these type of characters, so if you can drop any kind of mangas with characters that might fit the idea, feel free to drop it so I can check it and improve my writing!

I had a lot of fun while writing Fauna's part of the story. For starters, I definitely wanted to show a caring and healing side of Fauna at the start. Making Kronii believe that Fauna is acting like her usual self is necessary for the twist, after all. With her switch flipped, Fauna showed her possessive side, willing to do anything to love and be loved by Kronii the most. Of course, she wouldn't do anything that Kronii hates because she loves her so much. I want to keep developing this toxic relationship even more in the future. Will she get better or will she get worse? Who knows lol, all I know is it will make for an interesting story.

Mumei is just self-explanatory at this point. Combining a cute, cheery personality with a psychotic and borderline unstable one is just a banger honestly. Sometimes I can't even tell which side is the original and which side is the flipped one, which means it's just that good of a combination. At times, I wonder why I write crazy girls the best, but I decided that ignorance is bliss and stopped thinking about it. I'll continue writing Kronii's struggles to keep Mumei under control, so please look forward to it!

I needed to develop a reason for this whole situation in the first place, so I decided to turn Ame into the whole reason behind it. Although she's usually a mischievous girl, I showed a more blunt version of her because I wanted to show how she would act after she worked her ass off to fix the situation that she created in the first place. I do want to show her mischievous side in the future, but I'll just see where the writing leads me.

Finally, we have Kronii, the most important character of them all. Turning her into a dense protagonist that continued to exude a cool charm was the best idea I've ever had. Misunderstandings and mishaps just continue to happen around her while she's unaware that she's the reason behind most of it is just very fun to write. Having her try to develop ideas that ended up exploding in her face and causing more problems in the future allowed me to show a fun and expressively pathetic side of her. Of course, I also wanted to show her cool side sometimes by showing her as a person that deeply cares about her friends. After all, there needs to be a reason to why those girls fell in love with her. A pathetic but sometimes cool girl just fits her perfectly.

Why just Part 1?

I decided to end the story at this point because it seemed like a good place to conclude it for now, while also letting you look forward to what will come in the future. Originally, I had an ending planned that would just resolve everything with like 1-2 extra chapters. But after spending more time writing, I had some ideas on how I could develop this story further. Plus, the original ending I had started to look too forced when I thought about it. But at the same time, trying to develop these new ideas would take too long, and I'm not really used to writing a story that long either.

At the end, I made a choice to just end the story here so I can gather more ideas in the future. It's the first time I decided to create parts in my story, because I would usually change some things in the earlier chapters of my story in the middle of writing, but I think I've properly covered my bases in Part 1. Well, if I ended up messing something up, I hope everyone will just forgive me and let it slide lol. I promise you that I'll continue the Part 2 in the future, so just keep this story in your reading list or follow me so you'll know when I decide to continue it. Please look forward to it in the future!

About that small surprise I was talking about earlier, I actually wrote an extra chapter after I finished writing the whole thing. I'll post it in two days as usual, so make sure to keep an eye out for it! As a small hint: Look forward to seeing the girls' meeting!

My future works

For my next work, I'm currently in the middle of writing a story from a D&D oneshot session that I had. Some things that happened in the middle of it was too funny, and I ended up developing a nice storyline while I was mulling around with it, so I decided to give it a go. If you like my style of writing filled with schemes, lies, and banters, this will definitely be up your alley, so please keep an eye out for it!

Don't worry because I do still have plans to write more Hololive fanfics! I actually have an idea right now that I really wanted to write, but I want to make sure to write one story at a time so I don't end up balancing multiple stories at a time. I hope you'll be patiently waiting for it, because I'll definitely write more Hololive fanfics. I even got some Holostars stuff cooking up too if you're into that, so I hope you'll be there when I release my next works.
