She doesn't know why, or how. But she's overtaken by a sudden feeling of dizziness. She felt like throwing up. But that didn't stop her from crying over her old friend. Maybe it's because of the tears, but the previously dim-lit room is now blurry.

A feminine chuckle bounced around the room. And it was only then did the little girl realize what was happening. She turned around and angrily faced the white mascot. The bunny. Vanny. But not Vanessa.

" You! What did you do to him?! ", (Y/N) screamed at the entity.

" Little girl... What could you possibly be talking about? ", the entity asked in disgusting fake sweet voice.

" You know what I'm talking about! Daniel! What did you do to my friend?! ", the little girl was now crying even more. She knows how horrible she must look at the moment, sitting on the floor, tears running down her face.

Vanny tilted her head. " Daniel? Oh. So you know him? What a small world isn't it? ", she said as she played with the knife in her hands.

" Why aren't you answering me?! "

The entity laughed at her before answering. " You don't need to worry about that boy. It's your choice if you want to believe me. But... ", she started. " I didn't do anything harmful to him. I simply.... Chose his appearance as an inspiration.  "

Now the little girl became confused. " Ins- inspiration? "

" Yes. I had a little project, you see. My body is gone. I was nothing but a conciousness. That was until I found out about a way to gain a host from my previous experiences with... remnants. ", Vanny said. " I wanted a host. And in order to do that, I needed to create one. "

(Y/N) has a very bad feeling of where this was going.

" It took a long time. A very long time. Especially since I was only a conciousness. I could only use my advantage on devices to create and gather materials. And in the middle of creating my host, I began to think of how it should look like. "

But it was fine, I can start with a clueless boy with an unknown past. But then it gained a conciousness of its own. It became able to decide for itself. Speak for itself. Live for itself. And the next thing I knew, that thing escaped from my grasps. That thing. Gregory. "

Everything suddenly makes sense and doesn't make sense at the same time. Gregory was here with a reason, but what is it? No wonder Gregory and Daniel had similarities. No wonder Gregory looked familiar to her.

Vanny started walking towards the little girl. (Y/N) noticed it and stood up, attempting to run away. Only to get pulled back by the hand on her hair.

All this time, her father wasn't lying about the monsters that lurked around. It was her that was wrong in assuming what kind of monster they were.

" Let go! Monster! Monster! ", (Y/N) screamed as she struggled against the entity.
