"How did breakfast go?" I questioned Ghalen as he, Layne and Ezra followed me to the library.

"I had a great time speaking to them. They're good people." He admitted with a smile and hearing this had my views on them shifting because it was a rare sight to hear Ghalen complimenting people like this.

"Then I guess it's true what they say about Lvaiekians." I voiced.

"That they're calm like the ocean during the night?" Ezra inquired, earning a confirming nod from me.

"Mhm."

"Don't be fooled by our calm nature, we Lvaiekians are also known to be quite the partiers." Layne informed us, and her words had my interest growing, because if this were true I wonder how my engagement party would turn out.

"And alcoholics." Ghalen added, before asking, "What about you? How did breakfast with Amanté go?"

"Great, I spoke to him about Naila and he told me he would be faithful to this marriage even if it is arranged," I notified him, but he didn't get a chance to reply since somebody else spoke.

"Don't tell me you believe him," Ezra remarked, letting me know he wasn't convinced by Amanté's words.

"I do, he has no reason to lie."

"I think he has every reason to, or have you forgotten you ruined his chances of marrying the woman he loved—my bad, loves."

"I haven't but I can't just accuse him of lying, I assure you that will only make him hate me more," I stated, and my response pulled a scoff from his lips.

"That man doesn't have an ounce of hate for you," Ezra informed me which had my brows meeting each other in confusion.

"And what makes you say that?" I asked him, curious about what his answer would be.

"I've never seen a man who claims to hate someone smile so much in their presence." He replied and I immediately caught the hidden tone of jealousy in his voice, letting me know the emotions he had towards Amanté at this moment.

"I happen to have a good sense of humour."

"Well if you're right Ezra, we can use this to our advantage and maybe speed up the marriage process," Ghalen noted and I didn't need him to explain what he meant because his words were extremely clear.

"If I'm hearing you right, are you suggesting I make him fall for me?"

"Yes."

"That would be impossible, especially with Naila around." Layne voiced, joining our conversation.

"You obviously underestimate Carlisiann's charm," Ezra commented and my eyes briefly met his to capture the passion that lay within them.

"And you underestimate his love for her."

"Then what do you suggest I do?" I questioned her since she was probably the only person here who knew Amanté to a certain degree.

"Become friends with him." She suggested and I released a sigh already feeling the weight of such friendship on my shoulders.

"Easier said than done, but I'll try." I declared as we approached the library door, "He told me to meet him tomorrow tonight in the studio so we can rehearse the dances for the engagement party."

"That presents the perfect opportunity," Ghalen noted while slowing his pace and we copied his action when our eyes greeted the sight of guards in front of the library door.
