Anastasia had always looked up to her older brother. He always tried his best to do what he thought was best for his family. He was always there for Anastasia. He always made sure that she had money and when she didn't have a job, he would take her in. Every purge night she would stay at his house to make sure she was safe. He was a great big brother and she admired him for that. Even though he wasn't always the best parent, he tried.

She was with her brother the night he died. She had lost her job and had been staying with her brother and his family. Her and her nephew, Charlie, opened the doors and let the stranger into their house. Which was basically the cause of her brother's death. She blames herself for his murder but does not regret saving the stranger's life.

She actually still keeps in contact with him.

A month after James' murder, they all moved. Mary and the kids bought some land and had a house built for them in Maine. They begged her to move with them, but she couldn't. So, Anastasia stayed in Los Angeles. Her brother had left her some money in his will, so she had some money to live off of.

She lived in an apartment complex by herself. Anastasia soon found a job, she worked from home on her laptop. She was a graphic designer.

~2 days before the Purge~

Anastasia ran down the once white hallway, now it had blood smeared on the walls. She dropped to her knees when she saw her older brother. "No." She whispered to herself and held his hand. He opened his eyes and squeezed her hand.

"You're going to be okay." Anastasia cried.

"No, I'm not. Watch over them Stacy." A tear ran down her brother's cheek.

"James!" Mary ran over. Soon Charlie joined.

"I'm sorry, this is my fault." Anastasia sobbed into her brother's shirt.

"It's okay. I forgive you Stacy." James lifted her head. He gave her a small smile which caused her to cry harder.

Anastasia saw the man who had broken into their house walk up to them with a gun in his hand. She grabbed the gun out of the waistband of her pants and quickly shot the man in the head before he could speak. She walked up to him and emptied her clip into his face.

The man sat up and smiled as he opened his eyes. "Do it again." He started laughing as the holes in his face began to heal.

"Fuck." Anastasia sat up quickly. She wiped the sweat off of her head and walked to her bathroom. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and sighed. She splashed water on her face and held onto the counter while taking in deep breaths.

She closed her eyes and saw the man's face again. Anastasia shook her head, trying to get the man out of her dreams. He haunted her dreams every night. She kind of regrets what she did but not at the same time.

Once she got herself together she walked back into her room and grabbed her phone. The bright screen lit up revealing the time to be 6:45 AM.

Since Anastasia was up she decided to get ready for the day. She threw on a black sports bra and some gray sweatpants. She also grabbed her gray zip up jacket. She zipped it up halfway so that it was showing her sports bra and a little bit of her stomach. Stacy threw her hair up into a messy bun and she grabbed her black sunglasses. She grabbed some socks and put on her black and white Nikes.

Stacy grabbed her keys, phone and wallet before leaving her apartment. She once again looked at the time and saw that it was 7:15 now. She walked to her neighbors door, which was right in front of her door, and knocked. She waited for a minute before she started to walk away. As soon as she started walking away the door opened, revealing her shirtless neighbor.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" She turned and faced him.

"No, I was up." He opened his door wider and stepped out into the hall. "Do you need something?" He ran a hand through his hair.

"I'm going to go get something to eat, do you want anything?" She scratched the back of her neck.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know, I'm kind of in the mood for some donuts." She shrugged.

"Yeah, get me whatever, I don't care." He nodded.

"Of course, I'll bring you a monster too." She smiled at him.

"Thanks." He smiled back before walking into his apartment.

Ever since Anastasia had moved into the apartment complex which was 10 months ago, her and her neighbor, Leo Barnes, would take turns buying breakfast. She introduced herself to him a month after living there. She just knocked on his door and said hi and he did not care at first and then they became friends. He was depressed and upset about his son all the time, so she took care of him. She made sure he had groceries and ate.

Anastasia got in her car and drove to her favorite donut shop. She got some donut holes for herself along with a croissant. She got Leo a chocolate donut, croissant and a monster. After getting the donuts she made a second stop at her favorite diner and got her coffee. She waved to her favorite waitress and just got a coffee to go. Most places the diner coffee would taste like shit but this place had really good coffee in her opinion.

After getting everything she drove back home. She walked through the halls and smiled politely at some people. Her whole mood then changed when she saw her other neighbor, Harold. He was a really creepy white guy who always tried to hit on her and it just creeped her out and made her really uncomfortable.

"Hey hot stuff." He gave her a unsettling smile and walked close to her.

"Get away from me." She told him.

"You ought to be polite to me, purge night is coming up and with that mouth of yours, I may have to punish you." His hot breath hit her face.

"Yeah, well its not purge night yet, so get your stank breath out of my fucking face." She kicked him in the balls and he quickly fell silent on the ground. She rolled her eyes and stepped over him. She looked over and saw Leo standing at the door. "How much of that did you see?" She asked him as she handed him his bag of food.

"Just the part where you were a badass." He chuckled.

"Thanks, I know I am." She smiled and laughed lightly. Anastasia handed him his Monster. "I have a meeting so I have to get to work. I'll see you later." She waved and walked to her door.

"Thanks for breakfast." He walked into his apartment.

"No problem."
