Freddie has been working on the Skarloey Railway for some time. He has been a very useful member of the crew, always helping others in some dangerous situations but regardless, he shows braveness and always thinks of others safely.

One evening, after another at work, the engines were talking about today's event at the sheds.

"And these trucks pushed me off and I ended up in a ditch. I'm telling you these trucks are irritating." Duncan ranted.

"Maybe they wouldn't push you if you hadn't been so rough with them." scolded Skarloey.

"Well, I have to get them in order."

"Yeah, and look at that go." Chuckle Freddie as he recalls rescuing Dunan.

Duncan gritted his teeth.

Rheneas looked at Freddie. "With all these rescues you have been doing Freddie, especially dangerous ones, it's no wonder why you called Fearless Freddie."

Rusty was curious about something. "Freddie, if I may ask? Where did you get the title fearless?"

"I. You never mention how you got that name when you first arrived," Duncan said

All the Mid Sodor engines looked at each other, knowing the answer.

"Well, it's quite a story. I can tell you if you want?"

Before anyone says anything, Duke returns from his last train.

"Evening all, is there something I missed?"

"Nothing much Granpuff, Freddie was about to tell us his story of how he got the title fearless." Sir Handel said.

"Oh yes, I remember that. Such a heroic action you did that day but I suppose I shouldn't say more." Duke said, looking at Freddie. "Want to them about our days youngster."

"Certainly Granpuff," Freddie replied and then looked at the others. "Alright, It all started a few months after I joined the railway," Freddie said as he began to tell his story.
