Austin's heart raced as he held the record with Elvis's face on it. Curiosity overwhelmed him as the mesmerizing voice filled the room. He turned around, as the other man's arms dropped from his waist. He looked at him standing there, a mix of vulnerability and determination in his eyes.

"Wh- What is all this? Why didn't you tell me?" Austin asked, his eyes tearing up and his voice filled with awe and confusion.

Elvis quickly turned down the music and kept his eyes down. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I was afraid of losing you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I didn't want to risk it."

Austin blinked, taking in the words. "Losing me? Why would you lose me?"

Elvis took a deep breath, his hands trembling slightly. "I wanted to be just me with no expectations, no judgments. I wanted you to like me and get to know me for who I am."

Elvis said, his voice tinged with sadness, "Because of what I do people tend to have expectations. When I saw you that first night at the club and we talked I realised you didn't know who I was. I could talk about anything and not just about my job and fame - I wanted to build a genuine connection and just have a normal conversation for the first time in a while. Even if it was only for one night, of course as we started spending more time together I wanted you to know the real me, the full me, the singer and the normal guy. But I wasn't too sure how to suddenly tell you all this sweetheart."

Austin nodded. His heart skipped a beat at those words, his mind reeling from the revelation. He took a step back, trying to process everything. "So, you're saying... you're not Aaron?"

Elvis shook his head. "No, well I am, that's just my middle name. My real full name is Elvis Aaron Presley."

"But you're..." Austin trailed off, gesturing at the record cover in his hands. "So, you're a singer?."

Elvis nodded slowly, looking down at his feet. "Yeah, I am."

Austin took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. "Okay. I get it, I think. But things are progressing between us. Were you gonna tell me? How long were you going to wait?".

Elvis took a step closer, gently taking Austin's hands in his. "I know this is a lot to take in, and I really should've told you sooner baby but I want you to know that I'm still the same person you've been getting to know all this time. I'm still the same man who cares about you. Nothing has changed between us... At least I hope so." He looks up at him through his dark lashes.

Austin felt his heart melt at the earnestness in Elvis's voice, his resolve weakening. He nodded slowly. "Okay. I believe you. This is a lot, and I'm not quite sure I understand it all, but okay. I really don't want to lose what we've had so far."

Elvis smiled softly, his eyes brimming with emotion. "Thank you, thank you darlin'!", he held Austin's cheek softly brushing his thumb across the blushing cheek. "I promise I'll make it up to you." The relief was evident in his voice.

Austin couldn't resist smiling in return, his heart swelling with love. "I know you will."

Elvis grabbed the other man and held him close to his chest, he felt Austin move back a bit hands placed on his chest as he began to speak, "And I want to know all of you, not just the parts that have come to light but who you've shown me you are for the last 2 months."

They embraced, the moment feeling surreal. It was a moment of understanding and one that would change the course of their relationship forever. As they kissed, Elvis's song played in the background, Austin had re-placed the needle back onto the record. He broke away from the kiss and looked at Elvis.
