As the final chords of Elvis's electrifying performance echoed through the music hall, the audience erupted in thunderous applause. Elvis took a deep breath, feeling a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins. He glanced backstage, scanning the crowd of familiar faces that awaited him. He waved goodbye to the screaming fans, their screams became audibly louder as he said "Thank you, goodnight everyone!". He made his way off the stage with his bandmates.

Once backstage, Billy appeared at his side. "Great show, EP! You killed it out there," Billy exclaimed, giving Elvis a proud pat on the back.

Elvis flashed a bright smile and nodded. "Thanks, Billy."

His gaze shifted to the sea of familiar faces surrounding him. His gaze shifted to the sea of familiar faces surrounding him. He watched as his bandmates put away their instruments and took a drink of water. He spotted his parents in the crowd, exchanging smiles with them before his eyes landed on Austin.

As their gazes met, time seemed to stand still, and for a moment, as corny as it seemed, that's what he experienced meeting his lover's gaze. Austin's face lit up, mirroring Elvis. Without hesitation, Austin approached him, weaving through the crowd that had enveloped them.

Austin, unable to contain his excitement. The air was electric as he crossed the space, the sound of the crowd fading into the background.

"That was amazing!" He exclaimed, wrapping his arms around Elvis.

In the dimness of the stage curtains, the Colonel watched the two men closely. He observed them as they embraced, scrutinizing their every gesture and expression. He bit down on his cigar and analyzed the situation, knowing he had to keep an eye on this new boy who had suddenly become close to his singer. Despite his conflicting thoughts, he held his tongue, understanding that he couldn't jump to conclusions or tell Elvis to end this connection just yet.

At the same time, Gladys observed her son's interaction with the young man who had recently entered their lives. She smiled, not realizing that there might be something more than friendship between the two. She was relieved to see the light returning to Elvis's eyes after all the pressure and attention he had been facing as a musician.

Elvis turned to his band and parents, still sweating from his performance. "Thanks, everyone. I'm gonna head back with Austin now, I'll see y'all later," he said, tired yet happy to spend time with his boyfriend whom he hadn't seen all week.

Gladys kissed her son's cheek, then Austin's and smiled warmly stepping back. "Of course, baby. You boys get back safe."

Elvis and Austin bid their farewells and goodnight to everyone who they passed in the backstage hallways. Then once at the stage door, Billy who was by the door informed them that there were a few people outside. Elvis assured Austin with just a gaze that it would be okay, he knew that this was the other man's first time interacting with or meeting fans next to him.

The moment the door opened, a sudden wave of screams hit their ears. Elvis, being the gentleman he was, let Austin go before him and into a waiting car that was parked nearby. He followed suit but kept his head down, acknowledging the people around him with a slight wave. Elvis breathed a sigh of relief once the door closed behind him, grateful that there wasn't any press waiting there. Since he and Austin had agreed to try to keep their relationship under wraps, the last thing they needed was the media all over them. From inside the car, they could hear Billy and Red shouting at the fans to move back from the car as it rolled away.

Finally, they were alone, although not completely as the driver was present. But they were away from the prying eyes of others. As the vehicle sped up, their hands found their way together in the seat between them. Elvis couldn't resist the urge to steal a moment of stolen affection and lifted his lover's hand to his lips, leaving a lingering kiss against the back of Austin's hand.

Being with Austin brought an unfamiliar warmth to Elvis. A small smile danced on Austin's lips as he gently squeezed the other man's hand in the silent car, savouring the moment they had together.
