It was as if luck had been skeptical of Evangeline. Every time she thought she almost had it in her grasps, it seemed to slip away like nothing had appeared in front of her in the first place.
She had almost, just almost gotten everything she thought she needed, and left her house that morning. Everything seemed to have been in her purse when she hurried out of her house. Her feet had been somewhat hurting from practically running in her heels and hadn't bothered to turn back. As soon as she had gotten into her college classroom, she had checked her purse and realized she had completely forgot most of her note cards and paperwork for the day.
