"I'm yours to keep and I'm yours to lose. You know I'm not a bad girl, but I do bad things with you" - So It Goes..., Taylor Swift

I met her in a bar. Not the same bar we were in now, but a bar in another city. This day we were celebrating Ebony's 21st birthday with all the royal youths in a bar in the city. Of course I came. Although I felt a bit awkward between all of the princes and princesses I knew just a little bit. We all kind of grew up together, but I've always felt a distance between me and the cool kids like Ebony.

But I came here to see her. I came here because I needed an excuse to see her. I don't think my parents would like it if we became friends, but I can't seem to get Ebony out of my head. I had too much fun drinking with her yesterday. I don't have that kind of connection with anyone.

Then Ebony entered. The beautiful, dark-haired princess of the City of Night, Ebony Keeling. All eyes on her, an illusionist. She makes all my gray days clearer. I slowly walked to the bar, trying to lock eyes with the beautiful brown ones of Ebony, but she seemed to avoid me. I ordered a glass of wine.

While drinking my wine, I spent a few minutes just watching Ebony in the bar. Seeing her talk with old acquaintances, laughing with friends and kissing her boyfriend before she also got to the bar.

I knew she had had a relationship with Damain for a few months now and it was completely normal for them to kiss in public. I was so chill, but she makes me a bit jealous. That's weird.

"Drinking wine?" she asked me, while nodding to the glass in my hand. "Don't you want something stronger, like yesterday?"

"Just wine is great," I said in a distant tone. It wasn't my intention to get really drunk tonight. It was bad enough that I got so drunk the night before. My parents wouldn't want me drunk two nights in a row.

"That's a shame, we're here to have fun and get drunk," Ebony said. "All drinks are on the King and Queen tonight, you know?" She took her shot of whiskey from the counter and threw it down her throat.

I smiled politely. "I know. Thanks," I said bluntly. Suddenly I wondered why I wanted to come. I seemed like I needed to be drunk to like Ebony. And by the amount of times I had seen the princess drunk already, she thought so too.

"I'm going to dance with someone," Ebony said. "Feel free to join if you grow bored of standing there with your little glass of wine." Then she left for the dance floor. She left Damain standing on the side and grabbed the hand of some handsome prince. Damain didn't seem to mind. I got the impression this was normal behavior for the princess.

When I saw Ebony dancing with that prince and that weird sense of jealousy hit me again, I threw my don't-get-drunk policy out of the window. I needed to have a lot of alcohol to get through this night. So, I ordered some good drinks and danced some with the princes and princesses in the bar.

After an hour or two, I came to stand in front of Ebony. Now, we locked eyes. I looked deep in hers, and let my eyes trace her body. She was dressed in black now, in a beautiful and sexy dress. And she was drunk, just like me, I could smell the alcohol around her.

"Care to have this dance with me?" she asked.

Under the influence of alcohol and my own intrusive thoughts, I answered. "Yes."

Ebony only smiled. She grabbed my hand and we hit the dance floor. She let me twirl around. All eyes on her, my magician. She makes everyone disappear. She could cut me into pieces, I'm in a gold cage, hostage to my feelings.

All eyes on me, but I don't see them looking. All eyes on us, dancing in the dark room. I know I got her heart, it's skipping when I'm gone.

Ebony looked my dead in the eye. "I know what you want," she said. Involuntarily, my gaze went down to her chest. To the part of the dress that left nothing to the imagination, especially not her beautiful full breasts.
