Every tear in my eyes dripped but wouldn't drop

Every disc in my spine shook but couldn't stop

Keep the pace just in case all the magic dies

Cause this is drivin' my crazy

We made it to the hospital but the Paparazzi beat us there. They crowed the front desk and the front doors, taking pictures or getting info from the nurses.

I hopped out of Sadie's car and ran to the crowd. I pushed through them, my friends following closely.

"Hey, there's Zabrina!"

"Zabrina, are you feeling about the situation?"

"Zabrina, did you know about this?"

"Zabrina!"

They shouted out their questions. I never answered. My goal was to see if Adam was okay. One person stood in my way. He stood in front of the desk, their camera in hand. He smiled and held up the camera to get one last picture.

Me, full of rage and hate for James, did the unthinkable. I put my hand smack dabbed in the middle of the lens. My fingers tightened around the camera, my knuckles turning white. I pushed away him and the camera, sending him stumbling and falling to the ground.

My friends stared at me. Their faces were full of amazement and horror. I turned to the nurse.

"I'm here to see Adam Young." I said.

"Right. He just came in. This way."

She walked around the desk and walked down to his room. I ran in.

Adam laid in the hospital bed. He had a black eye. His arms were covered in bruises. His right wrist sat in a cast. A cut sat on his cheek bone.

Tears streamed down my face as I ran to him. My hands trembled as I gently touched his arm. I fell on my knees.

"I'm so sorry." I sobbed. "I wished I could've stopped this."

I grabbed his good hand and gave it a little squeeze. I put my face in the bed and cried.

I wished I could've stopped it.

"It's... not your... fault."

I looked up. Adam stared at me.

"If you... stopped it... this would've been... the other way.... around." He choked out.

I nodded my head. It would've been the other way around. I would be in the bed, bruised and broken and Adam would be the one on his knees, crying.

"I'm happy... that it was me. It would've.... been devastating... for me."

"It is devastating for me, Adam." I cried.

"I know." He caressed my face. "Take care... of your self. For me."

"I will."

I lifted myself up. I kissed Adam's forehead and left with my friends.
