Backstage

Shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face  

All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you 

I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home  

I'll spend forever wondering if you knew  

I was enchanted to meet you too

The big dude at the door came by us.

"Come." He grunted.

We followed the man up the stage and to the back. People were putting lights away and talked about the next place they would be performing at. We slide past people, still trying to follow the guy. We finally made it.

"This is the backstage party." He pointed to the door. 

"Thanks." Said Sadie, sweetly.

The man walked way. When he was far enough, I grabbed Sadie's arm.

"I thought we are going backstage. Not to the after party." I whispered. 

"This IS what the backstage pass does. Gets you to the after party." She winked and opened the door.

Strobe lights filled the room. Sadie and Kasia ran inside. I sat there. I was so confused but filled with joy. I met Owl City! My celebrity crush, Adam Young!

"Hey, you remembered!"

I jumped and turned around. He was standing there. Adam Young a.k.a Owl City! I felt the heat rise to my cheeks again.

"I-I-I did." I stuttered. "Can't forget what you said." Come on Zabrina, your making a fool of yourself! 

"Why are you back here?" He pointed to the door with the party inside. "Going in there?" 

"Yeah, my friend spent a lot of money on backstage passes. Don't want to disappoint her."

I couldn't believe it! I was having an actually conversation with him! I wanted to jump up and down, but I don't want to look stupid.

He grabbed my hand. "Then we can go together." He pulled me into the strobe light filled door.

The door shut behind us. No going back now. Why would I? Adam was here. He pulled me to the middle of the room. He started to dance. I wasn't good at dancing. I got a big fat F on that unit for gym last year.

"I-I'm going to find my friends." I shouted to him.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me close. I could feel his breath on my ear.

"Let your friends find you." He whispered. "Just follow my lead."

He grabbed my other arm. He pulled one arm close to him, one foot forward. He did it with his other side. I got the hang of it. He let go after 2 or 3 times. I was dancing on my own! Sweet! I forgot everything around me. I was in my world.

Until I bumped into my friends.

"It's 12!" Kasia sneered. "We got to go!"

12, already! I looked back to where Adam was dancing. No one. Kasia grabbed my arm and pulled me to the door. Sadie joined us at the door. When we got outside, we ran to Sadie's car. She turned it on and zoomed out of the parking lot and to my house. I knew we were busted.
