Big surprise, I'm a ghost keeping out of sight
Rub your eyes, you're a star in a summer night
This is love, this is war, it's insanity
We skipped school to be together for his last day. We went by the boardwalk, saw a movie, and now we wasting time at the park, under the tree that we drew pictures under, trying to think of what could we do so we could stay together.
"What are we going to do?" I asked. "I don't want to lose you."
Adam wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. "I can't miss this tour."
"I can't just up and leave with you. My mom would freak out."
"Zabrina, we gotta face-"
"Please, don't say that! I don't wanna hear it!"
"Zabrina." He tipped my chin up so he can look at me. "You know that I will be back and I would never ever cheat on you. I love you." He kissed me.
"I love you, too."
I dug in my pocket. I pulled out the picture Adam drew of me.
"I want you have this." I said to him, handing the picture.
He grabbed it but didn't take it. "You should keep it."
I shook my head. "No, you should. I already got tons of stuff from you. I just want you to have this one little thing."
He take it and looks at it. He smiled. "Just one last favor."
He whispered his request in my ear. I pull out my sketchbook and started to draw. An hour later, I finished. I gave the picture to Adam.
He ripped in half. He gave me half and kept the other half.
"Why did you do this?" I asked.
"If I only have half, I don't know what the picture is. I will have to come back here to find the other half."
We put the halves together. The picture was me and Adam smiling and staring at each other when we were recording.
"I'm totally going to miss you. Try to video chat me everyday after your concerts."
"I will."
We kissed each other for the last time.
