Impending

Despite both of them eager to get their relationship back on the right track Yusuke and Kurama took their time. Over the next few weeks they spent many days talking over what they wanted in their relationship. They talked about likes, dislikes, and boundaries. They learned a lot about each other and grew closer from it.

Yusuke learned Kurama saw his apartment as his fox den a place to go and feel safe and secure. However even though Kurama enjoyed the warmth and safety of his den he still absolutely enjoyed getting out as often as possible. Hell Kurama even enjoyed just a simple walk around the city as a date. Also, even though he preferred a plan, Yusuke's spontaneous and surprising dates were really incredible. Kurama loved them and made Yusuke promise to have at least one surprise date a month...even more if Yusuke wanted to. Kurama shyly started asking Yusuke to play more with his hair. He really loved it. Yusuke also learned a small fact that Kurama at first was super embarrassed about admitting. Kurama's ears were super sensitive and every time Yusuke whispered in Kurama's ear, kissed them or even touched them it got him a bit...excited. Yusuke felt really bad since Kurama's ears were his favorite to kiss so he was pretty much constantly teasing him! Kurama also admitted that his lower back was sensitive too but luckily when Yusuke held him, his hands never got low enough to be a problem. Yusuke made mental notes on both...for far off in the future.

Kurama learned that sure Yusuke enjoyed his naps and sleeping in but he was just as happy active and outside going for a walk or a run. Even though Kurama offered to start planning dates Yusuke said it was no problem since surprising Kurama was a lot of fun and sure if Kurama had a date plan in mind Yusuke would be delighted to go but it wasn't necessary since Yusuke really liked planning dates. Also, Yusuke liked to play the tough badass punk but always melted with any form of physical affection. Even just holding Yusuke's hand or a small loving touch made Yusuke smile brightly. And kisses? Kurama did start initiating a couple kisses on Yusuke's cheeks or hands and each time Yusuke was like puddy for a few moments after. Yusuke was really happy Kurama liked him playing with his hair because Yusuke couldn't get enough of it. He loved playing with and styling Kurama's hair. Also, since Kurama was open about his sensitive places Yusuke admitted that the very back of his neck was the same. The side and front were normal but touches or kisses on the back of his neck got him going. He also shyly admitted that he was curious about being bitten...not like super hard or anything just love bites. Kurama also stored both pieces of information away for later.

There also was one big thing that both really loved and decided to make into a tradition. Their lazy Sundays. Both were constantly busy. Hell even though it was getting colder Yusuke's truck was still popular so their lazy Sundays were a welcomed break from their crazy work life, a day they can reset for the next week. In deciding to make it tradition Yusuke changed his truck shopping days to Mondays and Kurama changed his visits to his mother's house to Saturdays. Yusuke even kept some sweats at Kurama's place in the spare office so that he didn't have to relax in jeans.

Today was one such day. Yusuke got to Kurama's around 7. He changed into some sweats, made a quick breakfast and after they ate he set up his console. However this Sunday neither of them wanted to play a game. After some sitting around Yusuke felt like channel surfing and Kurama wanted to read. Yusuke got comfortable on the couch one arm across the back holding the remote and one leg crossed over the other a pillow resting on his lap. Once Kurama had chosen his book he sat down then propped his feet on the couch arm and laid his head on the pillow in Yusuke's lap.

Hours later they are still comfortably in the same spot. Yusuke ended up playing softly with a strand of Kurama's hair with his free hand his other still across the back slowly channel surfing. Kurama was still reading the same book and was enjoying it every once in a while looking at the TV to see if anything interesting came on. Both were really relaxed, comfortable and happy. Then came a knock at the door. Both looked the direction of the door.
