Pressure

Yusuke whistled a tune as he chopped vegetables for an order. The fight with Keiko while not fun at all and he felt horrible it took place in Kurama's home was definitely needed. He felt relieved and free! Not only was he able to tell Keiko off but his relationship with Kurama took a huge leap! Kurama was no longer shy about affection. Not only did he jump into Yusuke's arms more often, he initiated hand holding and kisses, he even started texting more as well as longer messages. In the two weeks since the event there has been no sign of Keiko which made Kurama and Yusuke believe the worst was over.

"Hey Urameshi."

Yusuke looked behind him at Kuwabara who sat down "hey Kuwabara! Give me a moment I'm almost done!" He put the meal together then handed it to a girl standing at the truck "here ya go one pork bowl with raw vegetables." He smiled "enjoy!"

The girl gave a respectful bow "thank you Urameshi!" Then excitedly went to a picnic table to eat.

Kuwabara shook his head as they high five then fist bump. He snuggled up into his jacket "I don't get how you can still have customers when it's this cold."

"People love a hot meal on a cold day." Yusuke shrugged "now you gonna just complain or would you like your usual?"

Kuwabara smiled "the usual please!" He rubbed his hands together "by the way are you planning on going to Kurama's apartment tonight?"

Yusuke hummed questionably as he started cooking Kuwabara's meal, "I mean I wasn't planning on it...why? You want to make up for canceling boys night yesterday?" He reached under the counter pulling out a heat pack and tossing it to Kuwabara.

"Not exactly..." Kuwabara caught the heat pack smiling "thank you!" He held the pack tightly in his hands "actually I have something I really need to talk to you two about...it's important."

Yusuke looked at Kuwabara worried "oh great...did they find out about the supernatural?"

Kuwabara shook his head "no no! Even if they did I'd be going to Koenma or Botan not to you guys. No this is a personal matter."

Yusuke turned back to cooking "the way you say that isn't very comforting." He pulled out his phone "but if it's that important I can text Kurama and see if it's cool we go over." He texts Kurama "as far as I know he's free." He continued cooking as they waited. It didn't take long though. Yusuke smiled "yeah. Kurama said he's free tonight also he asked coffee or tea?"

Kuwabara nodded "good! We can head out right after work. I'll meet you here since I'll probably be clocked out before you finish shutting down. Also personally I prefer coffee."

Yusuke put together Kuwabara's meal handing it to him and texting Kurama that they'd be over and to have coffee waiting. Kurama texts back a 'ok see you guys then. I love you.' Yusuke blushed and smiled 'see you after work. I love you too.'

Kuwabara sipped and ate his meal wanting to finish as quickly as possible and get back inside a warm building. He snickered as he watched Yusuke text Kurama "dude...you are smitten!"

Yusuke shrugged "maybe?" He blushed harder.

Kuwabara shook his head "you are there's no question about it!"

Yusuke chuckled and nodded, of course he was smitten and it was only getting better! Kuwabara finished his food in record time and headed back to his job. Yusuke finished up the day. Since it got dark really early now thanks to the winter Yusuke closed up half an hour earlier than he would during the warmer months. He did a good clean out then shut down. As predicted Kuwabara was at the park before Yusuke was finished. Once done they headed to Kurama's apartment.

Yusuke opened the door and walked into Kurama's apartment holding the door open for Kuwabara "hey fox boy we're here!" He closed the door "something smells amazing!" He kicked off his shoes.
