A year of love

"hey! That's my shoe!" Kuwabara quickly tried pulling his shoe away from Wisteria.

Kurama laughed "I told you not to sit in her chair!"

In the two weeks Wisteria has been living with Kurama she had dragged her blanket on to the chair in the living room and claimed it as hers. She sleeps with Kurama but outside of that she likes to act like a little princess and have her own spot. Kurama had already made the mistake of sitting in her chair once when he was on the phone with his mother and she immediately went for his shoes.

Wisteria dropped Kuwabara's shoe barked at him then hopped back up onto her chair nudging the blanket to her liking before giving another bark and laying down.

Kuwabara shook his head as he checked his shoe "could have given me more warning besides just 'hey dont sit in that one chair ever again'. I didn't expect to chase her for my shoe!"

Kurama gently scratched Wisteria behind her better ear "yeah she's a bit spoiled sorry."

Kuwabara shrugged "my cats are spoiled as well so I get it." He put his shoe back in the entry way "by the way when is Urameshi getting here?"

"He's on his way so he should be here any moment." Kurama had asked Kuwabara to watch Wisteria while he took Yusuke to get his anniversary gift.

Kuwabara sat on the couch "can't believe you guys are reaching your first anniversary!"

Kurama nodded "I'm surprised as well. Near the beginning I swore to myself not to get too attached because I thought for sure it was only going to be temporary." He blushed and shook his head "I don't think I ever could have predicted we'd make it this far."

"Awwwww." Kuwabara teased "by the way you guys have plans for your actual date?"

Kurama shrugged "no it's a Sunday so we're planning on spending it just like every Sunday."

"That's no fun." Kuwabara rolled his eyes.

"Actually it is! We take great pride in our lazy Sundays...and honestly they are fun."

"Ah come on Kurama this is your guys first year! Shouldn't you be celebrating?"

Kurama chuckled softly "we are celebrating just in our own way."

Kuwabara shrugged "sure sure if you say so."

Wisteria jumped up from her chair and ran to the door barking softly. Kurama and Kuwabara heard the door open "hey there little princess." Yusuke's voice cooed.

Kuwabara scuffed "little princess my ass!"

Yusuke laughed as he walked into the living room "he sat in her chair didn't he?" He asked Kurama, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Kurama nodded "I tried to warn him."

Wisteria bounded back into the living room and hopped onto her chair.

Kuwabara huffed "at least she didn't chew my shoe but was still annoying chasing her for it!"

Yusuke shrugged "when Kurama tells you to NOT do something you should listen!"

Kuwabara rolled his eyes "yeah yeah whatever! Just get going will ya!"

Kurama nodded "I left a list on the counter of how to put her food together. She shouldn't give you much trouble getting her sweater and harness on but if she does her treats are on top of the refrigerator...and don't forget her sock for her nub."

They ended up taking Wisteria about 5 days after they got her to the vet. The vet determined, after some observations, that her deformed leg gave her no pain and she could use it to some extent to help her climb certain things so there was no real need for amputation at the moment. However her little leg did have nails that got caught on her sweater and sometimes her harness so they got some baby socks for her to keep that leg from getting caught.
