"Going somewhere so soon, Sweetheart?"
The raspy nature of his voice made my stomach swirl, the coyness of his lopsided grin mixed together to create a harmony of goosebumps erupting across my bare arms as I stared up at him towering above me.
My heart was pounding, alcohol pumping through my system masking any nerves that might come from the situation as a handsome stranger stared down at me. His features lit up with the remnants of artificial hot pink lighting, highlighting the sculpted nature of his chiselled face but shadowing parts in the darkness.
Slightly flustered from the shock of how quickly he's appearing before me I can't help the small amount of anxiety prevalent in my voice. "I'm— I'm just looking for my friend."
His dilated pupils flick between mine as I speak, gazing down at me but allowing a soft chuckle to escape from his lips. "I don't think they'd be through there, Sweetheart."
I swallow thickly as he leans in even closer, unsure of how to respond and feeling intimidated by the way he's looking down at me with sharp amusement and a coy smile.
"... Why not?" I peep out, a burst of confidence wanting to challenge him despite his closeness.
His brows raise as soon as those two words slip from my lips, I watch another glimpse of amusement quirk through his eyes almost surprised I've challenged him. However, he ignores me and instead pesters his second question of the night. "You're new here, aren't you? I've never seen you about."
My lips can't help parting, something he notices as his eyesight flashes briefly down but lingering on my deeply crimson-painted lips which seems to bring him to notice he's still holding my hips to keep me pinned to the heavy door, his grip loosening as one hand moves slowly.
I hum softly in response, sucked into a trance as I watch him before me reaching up and gently clasping my chin between his fingertips, a shaky exhale punched from my lungs. My eyes remain on his, the pads of his fingers feel cool against my warming skin as he slowly trails his touch towards my lips.
Tauntingly, he drags his thumb across my bottom lip smearing my lipstick with his touch. "Way too innocent to be here... who brought you here, hm? Trying to turn you over to the dark side with us, Sweetheart?"
Swallowing thickly, I stare up at him as his darkened gaze finally meets mine in our close proximity but his thumb slips off my bottom lip, smearing my lipstick down slightly. My heart hammers against my ribs erratically, struggling to pull the heated oxygen into my lungs as I simply watch the way his eyelids get heavy with a soft raspy groan that I'm surprised I heard over the fading thump of the heavy music. My heart is fucking louder at this point, practically drumming directly in my ears.
His lips are pursed out, hair a tamed curly mess atop his head. Under the lighting, it looks extremely soft but my hands remain down by my side despite the urge to reach out. "Unfortunately, I've found you now." Slowly that smirk reappears on his face, softening his sharp expression as our eyes remain pinned together.
