"Aurora!"
Groaning loudly, I attempt to tiredly hide my face in the comfort of the thick pillow beneath my head. Consciousness is not coming easily to me so early in the morning, in fact, it's the last thing I want right now. I could definitely sleep for hours.
My eyes feel swollen shut, keeping them shut tightly as I nuzzle into my pillow and groggily allow sleep to begin washing back over me once again.
But my peace doesn't last long as the loud thump of footsteps gets closer to my door, the rattle of my doorhandle followed by another call of my name. "Aurora!"
Another loud groan ripples up my throat as my bedroom door flies open with a creak, hitting the inside wall. An agitated growl erupts from my mouth as I angrily prop myself up on my elbows and look with watery morning eyes in the direction of the door only to find Jasper standing with his brows raised.
"What?" I snap tiredly, a frown etched on my face as I stare at him through squinted eyes.
"What the fuck happened in the kitchen last night?!" His voice is piqued with concern, "we all woke up to shattered glass all over the floor!"
Fuck. I was meant to get up early to clean that all up.
My head drops back onto the pillow, another groan rippling from me as I lift my hands to cover my face. I can hear him walking closer to me as I try to quickly conjure up some form of excuse for the way I left our shared space last night.
After Harry left I felt overly exposed albeit stupid standing there with a massive hole in my leggings so rushed to my room where I changed. But as soon as I saw my bed I vowed to get up early to clean up as I crawled up beneath the sheets to get some sleep.
Clearly, it didn't come true as I pulled my hands away to see Jasper looking over me with his eyebrows pinched and head tilted ever so slightly to the right. "Aurora?" He continues to press me.
"Fucks sake." I began to sit up again, thanking my past self for sleeping in clothes rather than naked as I pulled the duvet from my body. "I'll sort it."
He watches me climb from the bed, shorts covering most of my ass and a tight tank top over my chest but I don't care, not giving my appearance of messy hair and half-asleep eyes as I stomp towards the door. I'm not a morning person but I think that's extremely obvious.
Jasper followed closely behind me as I made my way into the kitchen, pausing a few feet inside the door when my eyes landed on both Dylan and Kacey in the room. Brilliant... more people to explain this to. Dylan notices my presence first, sitting up on the counter with a piece of buttered toast in his hand, half of it already devoured and he takes a large bite as we make eye contact.
But it's Kacey who speaks to me first, her head turning when she realises I'm here and I notice she's holding the broom in her hand but there's an itch of concern painted over her expression. "Are you okay, A?"
