tori walked to her car, texting her grandma who was telling her to bring her a milkshake from somewhere.
"tori!" chris shouted, pushing past the entrance doors, walking towards her.
her eyes brows furrowed, she lowered her phone a turned around.
chris was the last person her expected walk out of the restaurant to talk to her.
"hey...?"
"um- is you're grandma ok?" he asked, trying to be polite.
"yeah, did you seriously run out here to ask me that?" she crossed her arms.
"no, no... i wanted to ask something." he rubbed his neck, awkwardly.
"what?"
"i saw you give dot a plastic straw earlier."
"yeah... what about it?"
"cause like- the restaurant had straws but you gave her like a certain one."
"it was a bendy straw. she doesn't like the kind the restaurant has."
"do you just- like carry them around in your purse for her?"
"yeah, i do." she nodded.
"oh ok..."
tori only raised an eyebrow.
"i don't get it." chris admitted.
tori rolled her eyes and smirked. her arms still crossed, she shifted her weight onto one leg.
"dot will only drink with straws because she doesn't like the feeling of when the cup or glass touches her lips. she also doesn't like it because it spills often. she likes bendy straws better than normal ones because it's closer to her mouth. plus, they're more fun."
"oh, ok. i get it now. thank you." he smiles.
"mhm." she hummed with a nod.
"ok, bye tori." he said, walking back inside.
"bye chris." she walked to her car.
her phone still in hand, she clicked on dot's contact.

ollie watched as chris walked back in and sit down.
dot looked at him too but quickly looked at her phone when it buzzed.
it was a text from tori.
