From chapter- 34 : Assurance

While standing in their room, Meerab is reflecting on the incident involving the attempted molestation in London. Meerab was afraid because it was only her third day in the hotel room, and the person wanted her to spend the night in his bed. The scene and the surroundings appeared cozy until a man pretended to be an assistant and walked into the room, tracing his hand along her arm. She flinched with fear and unease, remembering that she had been in a similar situation before when Bhaktu was hurt, but she had Murtasim to talk to then, but now she was alone. The man put his hand on her waist and started to move closer, but Meerab shoved him off and hurried outside to call for help. Luckily people believed her and took the boy into the custody. The proof was also in the video footage captured by the camera. That is when she learned that the camera was not functioning before. It had an internal wiring issue that needed to be fixed today, which is why it was functioning. She was thinking of her past when she felt an arm around her waist. Thinking it was a stranger, she pushed him away, but when she saw it was Murtasim, she smiled and ran into his arms

With a gentle caress of her hair, Murtasim asked, softly, "What happened?"

"I thought it was someone else", she replied

"Nobody have audacity to touch you", he said in a cold authoritative voice. letting her know that he is the only one who has the right to her body.

(I took it down since I did not want to depict Meerab's suffering. She ultimately decided to discard the idea , which is why there is no trace of her past)

the moment they visited the orphanage.

When Meerab came inside, she saw Murtasim interacting with the children, which made her smile because usually, he is either depressed or stressed out. Due to their misunderstanding, she is aware that his condition was never good. It was a smile that she wanted to see on his face. He was as adorable and handsome as a young child, and she passed a smile towards him . She wondeted "Is he the same man she met before?"

She noticed that they were running around and playing a game. She was unable to guess because there are a lot of games where we have to run. Meerab declined Murtasim's invitation to come when he saw her because she wanted to record him playing today for a video. She will keep this in her memory and tell her kids that their father used to be a kid. Since she already made the decision to never discuss the past with anyone again, she is making a concerted effort to prevent anyone from bringing it up in front of him, because she knows he deeply regretted it. She felt that if she closed her eyes, he would disappear, so she could not even look away from him for a moment as she began to record a video of him.

She heard Rumi say, "See even Jiya is playing," and for a split second she flinched, afraid to feel someone was behind her. She did not realize she was in an orphanage with lots of people watching her since she was so preoccupied with her husband. Feeling embarrassed, she lowered her gaze and requested Rumi to repeat her words, which she duly did. As Meerab turned to face Murtasim, she saw Jiya giggling and interacting with other kids. She is a fourteen-year-old girl whose parents died in an accident, leaving her traumatized since she lost everything at a young age and no one else came to her aid.

"How? She was not talking to anyone", Meerab said

"I don't know. Ask Murtasim", Rumi said, and Meerab joined the happy, animated group of kids playing the game. She moved in Murtasim's direction and pulled him into a corner. She observed her surroundings and, once she was content to see themselves alone , she turned to face her husband, who appeared perplexed.
