Bang!
Ting!
Thud!
In a single moment, a flash of brilliant light lit the carriage. Two men stood face to face each holding their own gun. Their muzzles smokes as the red hot casings hit the steel floor. A loud thud came right after as a third man with two bullet holes in his body slams down onto the floor as well writhing in pain. The red haired male who stood the closest made swift work at letting the man fall asleep like the others on the piles. Blissfully asleep unaware of the pain that had been inflicted on them.
"May I ask this again." he throws the body on the pile like it was nothing. "Mind explaining yourself, Zenitsu?"
"I was wondering where you have been yourself, Tanjiro." Zen replied with a helpless sigh at the sight of the male. "Also why are you dressed like that?"
"I'm under a disguise Zenitsu. A wanted man such as myself wouldn't be able to walk around without being spotted."
"Is that so? Then why have you committed more crimes as of recent?"
"Oh these guys? Well they're just here for our head. But mostly for hers." a heavy sigh escaped his mouth as he held his head. "Over half the passengers are hostile."
"You said 'hers'. Did you took another comission by any chance? From a girl nonetheless." Zen present a seemingly innocent smile but with deadly aura surrounding him
"Of course not." Tanjiro answered. "In fact, she is none other than the very client that hired us."
"......."
"Eh?"
The train rushes into a tunnel plunging them both into temporary darkness. Zenitsu still running the information through as Tanjiro opens the door to the other carriages.
"Let's not linger around. Our client is still waiting."
"Alright, but you better explain everything on the way mister."
And so under the cover of darkness, the two men waddles on through several carriages passing by some passengers who are minding their own business. Tanjiro explains his circumstances that led him to where he is as Zenitsu nods along with a troubled expression emerging. After a while, the train finally emerges out of the tunnel and the two stood before a door in the first class carriage.
"There, that should explain most of it. Now what about you then?" Tanjiro turn the question over to Zenitsu
"Do I need to tell you?" Zen rubbed his head. "Well I DID followed your instructions and even gotten myself on the right track. Yet some unpredictable circumstances happened and I ended up here. Need further explanation?"
"Judging from your dirt stained clothing and some blood leftover on your fingertips, I won't probe any further."
After witnessing his deductions of the impossible countless of times, Zen wasn't even surprise for him to figure it out. Having said that, Tanjiro throws a set of new clothing right at him before he spoke.
"Go and get changed, we're getting off on the next stop. I will wait here with our client."
"Aye. Don't do anything weird while I'm gone."
"Unlike you kind sir, I happened to be very well educated in mannerisms."
"Educated in mannerisms, you just learnt that didn't ya?" Zen points out. "Either way, it's nice to see you're still alive and kicking."
