"Clear the platform!"The cacophony of the steam engine's arrival reverberated through the station, blending with the shrill whistle and the rhythmic clang of the bell. As the train lurched to a halt, billows of steam enveloped the platform, shrouding the scene in a misty haze. The shrill screech of metal against metal pierced the air as the train's brakes engaged, signaling its arrival.
Amidst the chaos, figures emerged from the carriages, their silhouettes gradually materializing through the steam. Families reunited with joyful embraces, while acquaintances exchanged hurried greetings amidst the bustling crowd. Yet, amidst the throng of passengers, three figures stood out distinctively, emanating an air of purposeful determination.
Stepping out from the opulent confines of the first-class carriage, Tanjiro Kamado, Dr. Agatsuma Zenitsu, and their enigmatic client, Kanao Tsuyuri, commanded attention with their unwavering focus. Despite the commotion around them, they moved with a serene sense of purpose, their steps synchronized as they navigated through the bustling platform.
Meanwhile, the train crew, accustomed to the routine of arrivals and departures, couldn't help but notice the anomaly that caught their attention—the conspicuous absence of a cargo carriage, a puzzling detail that hinted at the enigmatic nature of the trio's mission. Yet, undeterred by the murmurs of confusion, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Kanao pressed forward, their resolve unshakeable as they embarked on their quest to unravel the mysteries that awaited them.
"Now gents, where do you suggest we head off to next?" She simply inquires them as they exits the station
"I believed you'll be safer if you wait at an inn while we continue to investigate." Zenitsu voices his opinions
"That would be proven unnecessary." Tanjiro retorted. "It would be faster to have a third pair of hands to help. Plus I know you wouldn't just sit around idly while waiting for us now would you?"
"You're sharp as always Kamado-san."
"B-but we can't bring along a civilian with us." Zenitsu firmly protests against it
"She's more capable than you thought. Believe me when I say this." He turns his smile towards his partner. "No mere civilian would be targeted by a few dozen men just to have her head off her shoulders."
"Yikes."
"My, you made it sound like I've made many enemies." Her calm and innocent smile sent shivers down their spine
"The fact is, someone wanted you dead. I'm a wanted man and Zenitsu lost the lead."
"We've already been over this." Zenitsu remarks
"Not all hopes are lost however, thanks to the mercenaries and assassins I have gathered a few promising leads."
"Would you mind sharing it with us, or are we supposed to guess what the leads are?" Zen coldly joked
"Of course, but first; we have a case to crack." Tanjiro pull out a piece of thin paper seemingly torn off from something by force. "Those crates that contains the goods, it had this address."
"What?! Did they really?!"
"Seems like they were more of a fool than we had believed them to be." Kanao commented, amused by this information
"How did this remains as an unsolvable case is what really baffles me. I believed it is time to take avenge for the whole year and a half of waiting."
"Agreed."
And so the trio journeys on to follow the concrete lead they had. The once regarded as an unsolvable case turns out to be more simpler than they thought, or were they? They'll only know once they discover the truth.
