The skies are cloudy as rain clouds are threatening to fall. Residents in the city are preparing for it as a countermeasure. Just as the saying goes, "Prepare for a rainy day" in the literal sense of the words. There were many building of all shapes and sizes, one of which were the police stations where officers commonly known as bobbies on the streets were stationed and dispatched from. A young man sitting on his desk stared longingly at the wall as he sigh at every tick after the tock."Hmm......."
"What is the matter Murata?" A hand lands on his shoulder granting him a bit of a shock
"Ah! It's just you inspector Giyuu-sama." Murata's tenseness dissipates as he face the all to familiar male colleague of his. "Nothing much really. Just had to deal with some troublesome paperwork."
"Is this regarding upon the 'missing young women' case?"
"A lot of it as it seemed. Although there's very few that we could do about them." He grab a piece of paper from the pile. "Most of them are reported long after it happened, ranging from a few days to weeks long. The locations are also sporadic and unreliable as we had established previously."
"It has been for over a year and a half by now, yet we still couldn't find the culprit of those who did it." Giyuu gaze upon a wall filled from floor to ceiling with missing person posters. "Just how many more had to suffer from this?"
"Could we even solve this case?"
"I doubt we could, but that's why we have someone who's particularly talented in this field."
"To solve the unsolvable, could we really rely on him to crack this?"
"I have no doubts. After all." His gaze fallen upon one of the posters with a close to familiar name. "One of those victims are his close family."

"Ne, Tanjiro. What are we doing here?"
A yellow haired male asked the red haired one seemingly confused as to why they were dressing up very formally and were attending a party held inside a mansion. Nobles from different families and backgrounds were in attendance and not to mention the host that hosted this entire banquet for a mere meet together. Tanjiro who held a glass in his hand wanders his gaze among the attendees looking whilst answering the question he was asked for answer to.
"Naturally I would say for entertainment purposes as we are one of the invited guests by the host." A grin appeared on the corner of his lips. "Although this might be a good chance to find the ones that might be of our interests."
"To establish connection is what you meant to say?"
"Exactly just that Zenitsu. It wouldn't hurt to have more connections you know."
"Over the years we've been working together, surely you've known to be regarded with aversion by the nobles and criminals alike." Zenitsu polish off the glass in his hand before taking up another from a waiter
"Indeed. Hence why I'm here not as Kamado Tanjiro the detective, but as Takagi Kenshin from a family of merchants."
"The fact that your family really are from generations of merchants made it useful eh?"
"Aye, sometimes we get more information being a merchant rather than as a detective." Tanjiro subtly signals with his hand towards a man. "The Ayaki heir, Rui Ayaki is presence. Seems like he's attending on behalf of his father."
